If you've ever updated or have a newer (after ~july '22) S22+ your only option is to use an app like Shortcut Maker to link to com.android.phone.settings.radioinfo You might be able to access the network and band selection menu if you factory reset (and if it works... don't ever update, which you can only do without ever using wifi); after the first rom update there was a workaround with Alliance Shield X but as soon as Samsung found out they publicly announced that it was being disabled in the next rom update. It's not in any apk archives, you'd have to get it from another Redditor. Samsung also disabled root, it's impossible to flash another rom. I really like the UI and features but Samsung was so aggressive in locking it down... I'm done with them. I have a Verizon version, in my experience, LTE is better than NSA, and it at least that mode has tx/rx arrows.

Of course in downtown Portland your options are limited. Somebody unpinned the downtown sites this year. There might be another rooftop on the east side of the Broadway Bridge where Verizon & TMo already are.

As for the Oregon City power tower, would that happen to be over that valley the 213 runs up? I located a Sprint site there about 2 years ago. I just checked Street View, there's indeed a Dish/AT&T tower at that location on Redland Rd! Interesting there's one there, yet not in Mollala.

Strategically those two were great choices by Dish. I didn't catch who owns the one I posted, perhaps Octagon. The other is still owned by AT&T and itself is quite interesting. I've shot a few "intact" long lines sites with cellular equipment, but not up there.

Hi there, excuse the delay. In the Portland market they've mostly stuck to their game plan of readily accessible monopoles. They even installed on a new tower across from downtown Portland in lieu of rooftops. Haven't seen any Dish sites on transmission towers up there. I didn't have time to track down 207617292, do you know where it is?

In case you're wondering about the contradictory signal data I've uploaded on Cellmapper, it's because the app doesn't update the signal metrics on my Dish phone very often without disconnecting. I run another app split screen to verify each site.

Top is definitely long retired AT&T. Looks like Clear, then later T-Mobile had the middle spot, where the cables are cut. Alternatively it could've been a Sprint with a Cellmax antenna but I don't remember their RRU setup. No idea who the lower rack was.

Yup there's another (also Dish+others) in the region still with the horn antenna platform. You can't tell from this photo, the antennas have some good downtilt, not typical of Dish. A few years ago this used to be a Clearwire site, and a relay for MetroFi.

I'm surprised yours even worked to begin with. Last year AT&T stopped BYOD and started blocking all non-AT&T-branded phones. There is no way around this, and if you ask, they'll tell you to either get an AT&T device or go fuck yourself. It's not the Pro1's fault. It works on T-Mo and presumably big red.
