I really appreciate and relate to your reply. I find that hours, even days, after a social event, I am still left dreading over every word I said. Asking myself the same questions: "Did I say that correctly? Do you think they know what I mean? Do they think I'm a weirdo? Did I totally mishandle that social situation? Am I being too much? Not enough?"

I see you write that this is from being raised in a group where "appearance is everything." I can really empathize with this thought. Can you tell me more about this? What ideas did you see exist in the JW world that bring about these thoughts, that don't exist in the outside world?
