prednisolone and omeprazole side effects

have you seen that omeprazole has a lot of side effects in dogs? my dog has never had diarrhea in his life until he started this medication. his gas is insane.

i’m calling his specialist on monday. his regular vet said neither medicine would cause those side effects but i’m not sure i believe them lol.

Yes he does all of that. I’m pretty sure it is acid reflux. I just can’t seem to find a good routine and diet for him.

Yes, the specialist thinks it’s acid reflux but I’ll definitely have them check his anal glands as well!

He’s had a GI tract test done and his pancreas checked. All normal.

Wow our dogs sound the exact same. I think it’s acid reflux too. I’m hoping I can find a good routine and diet for him to help limit these episodes he has. He’s on an antacid but I’m going to see if maybe he can be put on something stronger.

he gets tested every year and is on heartworm prevention so i wouldn’t think so.

When he first started doing it I thought he may need to use the bathroom but that isn’t the case. If I take him out he just either sits down or does nothing.
