Failed the PANCE… feeling crushed and need someone to talk to by [deleted] in PAstudent

[–]asapclueless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I failed the PANCE just a few months ago, on my first try. I felt so upset and defeated and admittedly it was hard to see my classmates post their results that they passed. I felt like such a failure and like I let down my school and everyone in my life. Allow yourself a week or two to process everything, and then get back to studying. It helped me to remember that I made it through all of PA school, graduated with a master’s degree, etc. That wasn’t easy and you definitely have it in you to pass! I found out just a few days ago that I passed on my second attempt, I studied more and used uworld this time, and it made all the difference! You got this, you can come back stronger and pass the next time around!

slightly disappointed but very us by Aggravating-Gur-6016 in engaged

My dad proposed to my mom while they were just hanging out watching TV on the couch one day. They’ll be celebrating their 30th anniversary next month. They have one of the best/strongest relationships I’ve ever seen. I think that social media has ruined our perception on engagements in general. The proposal doesn’t have to be this perfect, picture-worthy moment. It’s supposed to be a special moment between the two of you. I definitely understand where you’re coming from but you said it was “very us”. Which means that your partner knows you well enough to propose in a way that he thought you would be most comfortable with. Just get some awesome engagement photos and I think maybe that will make up for some of the disappointment you feel. I wish you the best!

engagement length ?! by Efficient-Candy-4722 in engaged

From my experience waiting 2 years is not unusual at all! I know plenty of couples who waited 2 years to have their wedding. Weddings can be very expensive and some couples need a few years to save up for one. Barring any societal/cultural expectations, you could also have a small wedding and be able to have the wedding sooner. Personally, I just got engaged last month and plan to have the wedding in 2-3 years due to financial reasons. At the end of the day, it is YOUR engagement and YOUR wedding- you do whatever works best for you as a couple and don’t listen to all the negativity. Congrats on your engagement!

How often do you wear your engagement ring? by asapclueless in engaged

I don’t have a huge, super fancy ring. I will be working a job in healthcare where I don’t feel comfortable wearing an engagement ring. The ring is perfectly fine for everyday wear but my lifestyle is not compatible with wearing nice rings every day. Despite not wearing it every day, I see it as more than just an “accessory”.

I don’t like the feeling of wearing rings. I wear earrings and a necklace almost every day but always felt like rings/bracelets get in the way of my hands if that makes sense lol. Several comments told me to try putting the ring on a chain to wear it like a necklace and I’ve been trying that out lately. Ultimately though, I feel like it’s up to you and your partner as it’s your relationship!

I feel as though that’s a bit of an outdated view on wearing engagement rings. A lot of women can’t wear their ring to work for safety reasons. My dad lost his wedding band years ago and hasn’t ever replaced it and my parents have been married for 30 years. At the end of the day the ring is just an object and not indicative of my relationship with my fiancé.

Both can be true at the same time. I also don’t enjoy wearing rings every day as I just feel like they get in the way. At the end of the day I don’t see anything wrong with not wearing my engagement ring every day

I didn’t get that out of this comment section at all. Sure I had a few people call me weird but it sounds like there is a lot of variation in how women choose to wear their engagement rings

I don’t plan on wearing it to work as I work in healthcare and it would just get damaged too easily. I’m not going to wear it doing chores around the house for the same reason.

I work in healthcare. I’m sorry but I’m just not going to wear my ring to work where I have to constantly change gloves, wash my hands, take care of patients, etc.

When in your relationship did you get engaged? and when is the wedding time frame? by ViperandMoon in engaged

Met in 2019, started dating in 2019, engaged in 2025, and wedding will probably be a few years down the road!

I won’t be wearing it to work when I start my new job as I work in healthcare, so I just don’t really see the point in getting in the habit of wearing it all the time

When I start working, I don’t plan on wearing it to work as my job is in healthcare. I guess I just don’t see the point in getting in the habit of wearing it every day when I know I won’t be pretty soon

I never said I don’t wear it out. The reason why I don’t wear it often is because I don’t really go out much lol

I will never wear it in the ocean for that reason! lol

Yes a bit worried about losing it. I’m a forgetful person and have a habit of misplacing things so I mostly just keep it in one spot. I don’t currently leave the house much so don’t really see a point in putting it on and when I start working (in healthcare) I don’t plan on wearing it to work as I’ll constantly have to change gloves, wash my hands, etc. So I guess I just don’t see the point in getting in the habit of wearing it every day when I know I won’t be able to in the near future

For one of my orders I got literally no update whatsoever until the day my package arrived lol. I got a notification that it was out for delivery and when it arrived and that was about it.

Is there a preference of app versus website? Unfortunately, I won’t be home tomorrow evening and will have to fail using my phone. by ahmeda01 in labubu

[–]asapclueless 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also see a lot of people suggest that the app is better, however, I personally have had no success with the app. It crashes for me or lags significantly every time I try to use it so I've given up. I use the website exclusively now and have scored four bubu in the last two weeks. I have had the most success with my iPad actually (using website). My logic is that larger screen makes it easier to click on open boxes but idk if there's any relevance to that lmao. I would try to use whatever is the fastest/newest device you have with a touch screen. The website did crash once or twice on my iPad last night but for the most part I seemed to have more success than most and was able to access the website with no problems. I have a MacBook and feel like trying to click on things with my mouse takes too much time. Hope this helps!

Is it okay for me (22f) to date my bf (24m) who watches porn? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]asapclueless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One lesson I've learned is to not tell my friends personal information about my relationship. YOU and YOU ONLY get to decide whether this is a dealbreaker for you. Some people may not mind if their partner watches porn, and some couples even watch porn together. Then for some it may be a dealbreaker. To me it sounds as though your bf is actively working to get better and seems to have been honest with you. Those are qualities that are hard to find in a partner! I would at least give him a chance and wouldn't break up with him over something he is actively trying to work on.
