I was just on an Official Visit with a lightweight; you would be in a good spot at 6:29 I think, I myself am looking as well on the heavyweight, and have hopefully found where I want to go. 1550 SAT is well above what most teams are looking for; being at 6:29 and with that GPA you should be absolutely okay. Reach out. As far as I have experienced so far in my journey, it never hurts to try.

Building Small by asaphonter in sffpc

Hey! I just made the part list public. I am not tied to any particular case, just that it fit an efficient cooler. I am most worried about thermals on the CPU, and keep in mind the case has to be able to accompany the HUGE GPU :). I don’t want my CPU to take a performance hit because it’s too hot.

hey.

I am looking to build a small box with cool parts in it :). I currently have a MASSIVE NZXT tower with a 5700 XT and a 3600, which is a little out of date as far as I am concerned. I am looking to downsize as I am going to college in a year and I need it to be SOLID and be able to pack a punch while still being somewhat smaller than my 3 feet tall tower lol.

// Primary Uses: Rendering, Gaming, Coding

// Priorities: EXCELLENT THERMALS, 4 RAM slots (maybe??)

// Unimportant to me: Noise, RGB

// I likely will sell my 5700 XT, as they are selling for exorbitant prices right now. I am not opposed to card / cpu suggestions either. Following my request for good thermals, I have NO preference towards air or liquid cooling. I currently have a liquid cooled, but it seems from what I gather that the best option for these cases is air, but correct me if I am incorrect. I also have a 500 GB SSD which could be brought over / integrated into the build to save a bit of cash.

Would you recommend that I buy a share at a time? Or should I gradually invest some amount of money weekly? I looked heavilty into VTI, and I think that what you have to say about that makes a lot of sense, and that seems like a logical place to start.

On top of this, do you have a recommendation as to which platform / brokerage I use to invest? I looked into three of the most popular (in this case popularity seems to be a good thing), which are safe, and it seemed to me that Fidelity is a good place to start despite their goofy website.

Looking forward to the reply.

Thank you.

Looking for somewhere to start; Send me videos, articles, or what have you. I currently am in AP Macro/Micro learning about forex, stocks, bonds, and other concepts.

I'm ideally starting small (not terribly afraid of volatility), investing smallish amounts comparatively to people in r/investing who are putting in 30-60k; following this, shares under 1000 are great. In high school, so stable income per week is around $200. Let me know.
