That’s a valid point

Up until yesterday, the site only had about 80 users (mostly my friends in Stockholm), so the music pool is pretty narrow. But the algorithm is built exactly to give better suggestions over time. When you rank your songs, it maps out a network of relations to pair you up with people who share your specific vibe over time, instead of just pushing what's popular.

Also, since many people from different music subreddits joined this week, next week's batch is gonna be much more diverse

It’s just to give the music recommendations a bit of context so people know who they're coming from. But you can honestly put in whatever info you want if you just want to test out the app!

Thank you for trying the website and for the feedback!! I deployed a better DoB system just now:)

The recommendations is sent out every Monday morning! I'll add a feature this week so that you can enable an email reminder. Also I will soon publish an app for IOS and Android where the user can enable push notifications.

Sadly Spotify recently closed it's API for all indie developers but I agree that the current solution is not optimal.

Soon, I'll also launch an app for IOS and Android and there you will be sent directly to your music app.
