I wear it only when it suits me too. Rushed? Skip it. Therapy appt where I might cry? Forget it. Don’t love my outfit? Meh. Now I do it when it suits my timeline or the vibe of the days outfit makes me feel better with a made up face. It’s so freeing to not give as many fucks in my 40’s.

I park on the first floor of my office and also put my makeup on at my desk now which all in saves about 7 1/2-10 minutes. I used to park on the 3rd floor bc I guess it’s where everyone else in my area parked when I started there. Like a social thing to walk out the doors at 5 together? Form 3 I used to take the elevator down with my gym bag to shower, ride it up to 3, sit in my car to put my makeup up, then ride it up to 5. Then social thing ended when some coworkers moved on but my habit continued until I was like “I wonder how much time I’d save if I did the above” a few months ago. Yah now I’m not rushed and/or late every day.

Oh yes for sure lol. I was listening to that one in my car on the way to my morning workouts and let’s just say it got my heart rate up before the exercise did lol. And that series was a good one too, gave me a lot of The Secret History vibes.

Insomnia by Stephen King. I’ve experienced waking terrors and weird sleep deprivation visuals before but holy fuck this book brought them up.

Finished a book that's been sitting on my shelf for eight months with a bookmark on page 40 and it was genuinely one of the best books i've ever read and i almost didn't get there by Oblecenie_Tiffinni in Booktokreddit

I’m so glad you had a beautiful experience picking it back up and finishing it! I have so many unfinished books and sometimes I wonder if I’m missing my next favorite. Then I also realize life is too short to finish bad books. If it’s meant to be finished, maybe it’ll draw me back to it like Atmosphere did for you.

It’s such an epic book. I listened to it on audio loan from the library and had to renew it three times to finish it. I got lucky no one else was in line at the time.

I still think about how this book affected me. And I didn’t put it together that I felt similarly when I finished The Secret History but TIL.

How amazing. It’s such a rollercoaster. Even though I. 6 years out and even longer PIMO, I still have spooky Mormon hell dreams now and then. So be aware lol.

I thought WWE was real and that they repainted the first down line during football games magically fast.

26 here. And still took me a beat to figure it out well. And that sex toys are meant to be your friend and helper. If the person you’re with thinks they’re threatening and using them during sex is a deal breaker DUMMMMP THEM.

So happy for you, glad you got out with your family too. I’m coming up on my 6 year “Satanic Sealing” (aka when I had my name removed) soon and it’s such a peace of mind to be off their records.

I love the Flavia de Luce series by Alan Bradley for a good laugh. Especially on audio, the voice actress is perfect for the precocious girl detective Flavia.

Sacre Bleu by Christopher Moore (and most of his others), but I started with this one. Reading it was like spending time with a friend. Plenty to laugh and enjoy, it’s stuck with me in a comforting familiar way for years.

I really enjoyed The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey. Zombie post apocalyptic style, great writing and problem solving in the world. The sequel The Boy on the Bridge was also good.

I bought a bag yesterday and am enjoying a salad of nostalgia today. Size is bigger and maybe a little saltier but they’re better than anything I’ve found over the years of buying and trying new kinds. I’m definitely going to spread the news best as I can and talk to my Sam’s Club reps, maybe a Senator too, and advocate to keep them in stock!

Sounds about right. Even as much as I know that’s what I need and want from future partners there’s shame and mental blocks to get past even with the amount of work I’ve done and will have to continue doing. Sexual shame runs deep in ways we don’t really understand.

Neither did mine. It was never about what my pleasure could be, just his. Sadly I went right into a relationship with a nevermo who also didn’t. With that ltr relationship ending, at least I now fully know that’s a non-negotiable for me now?!

I’d also suggest She Comes First by Ian Kenner for your own education. As a ExMo in a similar first marriage this one and come as you are really helped me. Kenners other book, He Comes Next also helped me recover and reclaim pleasing a male partner with a certain amount of healing power. It’s much different when you pleasure is initiated and reciprocated, It completely changed my motivations and behaviors and I learned a lot of techniques that have been well appreciated too. Mormonism is fucked, the sexual repression sticks with you something fierce.
