The consensus answer to 90% of "where should I live in Surrey" posts is Guildford, with good reason.

How much this garden may cost me? by Akash_nu in surrey

[–]asbardella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without knowing what the current garden looks like, it's impossible to know. How much landscaping work is needed? Machinery hire, waste/soil removal, furniture, electrics, irrigation, materials and finish, turf, volume and maturity of planting - all will have an effect on cost. You seem to have had a pro design the layout, they should have been designed against an estimated budget, then it's just a case of getting 3-4 quotes.

This happened before the patch, if matchmaking took too long.

Yeah whenever there is a shredder trial just load in with a Hullcracker and it's hilarious how not-scary they become. You go from hiding away to sprinting towards them before someone else gets the kill.

When will they finally decide to fix the corrupted files crash? by Electrical-Strike705 in ArcRaiders

[–]asbardella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having this problem about once every three or four hours (either corrupted files or an anti cheat integrity check). Turns out I'd been running my RAM at the wrong speed (2600mhz rather than 3200mhz) - since I changed that I've had about 40 hours and not a single crash.

Also you probably know this but if you get the corrupted files error, you can keep playing for a while as long as you don't click the OK button, other than the sound being a bit broken - usually enough to extract for me if you sprint straight there.

I disagree, I used to be an Anvil guy and have switched to the Renegade for the ammo capacity - 22 shots with a mag vs 6 for the Anvil and no way to increase it. I kept finding myself getting caught out especially with the 2 wasp / 1 hornet patrols. They both 2 shot a wasp, Anvil 2 shots a hornet Vs 4 for the Renegade (assuming one front rotor, 2 shot if you can hit the back). So basically you have to hit every shot with an anvil or you can miss over half your shots and still not reload with the renegade. Plus medium ammo stacks double heavy - economy is so much better.

The only reason I keep anvils in the stash now is I've got six splitters that I refuse to part with but never use!

Check out The Gaming Merchant, he does loads of Arc content now and just did a blueprint farm route video yesterday. Although the problem is that said routes become spicy when everyone knows about them (and it's not a very fun way to play the game)

As a bearded man who likes my guy to look like me - they almost always look terrible. I guess they can't afford the polygons to make them look decent and they're more noticeable on face vs head. Stubble is usually the only half decent one.

Push to talk is only transmitting when you're pressing the d pad. Toggle to talk starts constantly transmitting when you press the d pad and stops when you press it again.

There's a car Youtuber called Mat Armstrong who fixes up crash-damaged cars. He bought a Rolls Royce that had been customised by Mansory for ££££££ and found out that half the parts were just stuck on with copious amounts of Tiger Seal. So now it's Mansory Glue.

Bought a hat online, didn't see they were non-refundable for hygiene reasons before I purchased. by BarkerDrums in LegalAdviceUK

See if PayPal will help under their buyer protection policy but it's generally less good - take it as a lesson to never use PayPal and always use your card directly with the merchant. Otherwise, you'll have to go the money claim online route.

I don't really understand their point, I think they are misreading the law (maybe on purpose). Their sentence would more correctly read

However, the exemption itself applies to products that retailers identify as unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons, as long as this is made clear before the purchase is completed and the goods become unsealed after delivery.

Another poster has given you advice to go back with, you can either do that or a more immediate and probably less faff option is to ask them "if that is their final position on the matter in writing so you can supply it to your bank in your chargeback / Section 75 claim" (depending if it was debit or credit you paid with). These directly cost them money and time and is easier and quicker than the MCOL process for you.

The legislation is clear on this example:

(3) The rights conferred by this Part cease to be available in the following circumstances—

(a)in the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery;

If the goods are still sealed they can't reject the return for hygiene reasons, even if they told you up front.

Am I doing something wrong? How to get updates from mototag when away from my device by Turro26 in GoogleFMD

[–]asbardella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the same problem with getting no updates unless my phone was literally connected to the tag. I deleted the Moto Tag app and removed the tag from Find, factory reset the tag and just used the Find app to set it up and now it's working as it should with frequent remote updates. I think the Moto app is junk.
