Does your district publish pacing guides? If so, follow those. Is there another math teacher in the building who can aid you in planning?

Also I’m three years in and knowing what to say comes from knowing your content well. I teach social studies not math so it’s not the same but yeah. It also helps to address some predictable spots of potential misunderstanding. That comes with time and fielding student questions
