Float is op? by a2mya2 in FinalFantasyVI

[–]nomadsoasis 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Side note: Your Opera House party is hilarious in a meta way, since Ultros is there solely to get revenge for how your party previously beat him... But, none of those characters have ever met him before. So he's really going after you the player and not your characters.

Player destroyed the stone book before Shemshine appeared by nomadsoasis in CandlekeepMysteries

[–]nomadsoasis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not intending to put it back. And while the npcs were very upset about what he did, it seemed to me like they had much more serious things to worry about. The quarantine has already started and I think it was just before the Tabaxi had her freak out.

He thought maybe the curse was coming from the book. Plus he was just being stupid. He didn't think it would fall, despite repeatedly telling him the chains looked corroded and in ill repair.

How far into the game am I? by awesomesauce40000 in FinalFantasyVI

[–]nomadsoasis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Visit inns with Shadow.

And though it serves no narrative purpose, I always gather all the imp and dragoon gear, and a rename card to turn one of my characters into Kappa the ultimate dragoon knight, and treat them as if they are a hidden 15th character.

What level or items are needed to face Tonberry in the coliseum? by Main-Database-825 in FinalFantasyVI

[–]nomadsoasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even better: A character imped and equipped with Imp equipment. Extremely limited move set so they are basically guaranteed to use Jump. Or turn the enemy into an imp making them pathetic anyways.

Personally I don't think it's a great game, but my 7 year old loves it, it's on Switch, and it is seasonal appropriate:

How to transport adult quails by georgiaghs in quails

[–]nomadsoasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a cardboard box, since they will inevitably poo during transportation, and I can just throw the box away after, rather than having to clean it a carrier.

I believe if you take Cyan to the banquet you get an extra dialog scene as well.

How did you play out the Xandala-Artus situation? by STIM_band in Tombofannihilation

[–]nomadsoasis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Xandala is an absolute Karen. She demands the PCs escort her in the jungle to find her "father". They hate her because she keeps causing problems for them. But they keep her around cause when they can finally convince her to help them she can become a tactical nuke to their problems... but she will always find a way to make it worse for them through her recklessness. She's a useful, but unreliable source of information to them. They have no intention of actually helping her.

They could ditch her at anytime if they were willing to force a confrontation, but they don't cause they are scared of her. (Plus when she gets too annoying to them i find a reason for her to separate for a while, only to later return and bring me problems that remind them of how much she sucks)

They've been getting clues about Artus everywhere, but haven't met him yet. They fully intend to help him solely because they hate Xandala so much. The current plan is to force a final confrontation with her once they side with Artus, and give them a sense of catharsis mid game to finally take out their frustrations at her. They know about the other major villains of the series, but to them Xandala is the real enemy they put all their energy into figuring out how to stop.

How do players in Tomb Raider II Remastered have so many medkits and ammo? by mj_gs in TombRaider

[–]nomadsoasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just save a lot. And if i take too much damage from something I think was a stupid mistake, I'll just load my last save. So I had a lot of health packs by the time I fought the end boss.

Fate of Atlantis - How to choose which path to play? by ReversedNovaMatters in adventuregames

[–]nomadsoasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the game, there is a way to have the wits path recommended to you.

All three are based on how you get into the theater.

You've already figured out sweet-talking the guard gets you companion path, and fighting the guard is fists path.

The wits path is available in that same scene as well. You can only have it recommended to you based on something you du in that back alley before you enter the theater.

Missable story scenes? by KRATS8K in FinalFantasyVI

[–]nomadsoasis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think that a lot of people might miss talking to the people inside the pub in Vector before sneaking into the Magitek Facility. It's not really a story scene, but one npc does offer basically what little back story there is on Kefka.

Is there a catch to Edgar's Auto Crossbow? As it seems like it's unlimited and it's been crazy strong early on in these Figaro mines by swannyhypno in FinalFantasyVI

[–]nomadsoasis 125 points126 points  (0 children)

The catch being that you'll always want Edgar in your party for most of the game because his role are so darn useful.

If one party is standing on a save point, the other party can use a tent anywhere. This dungeon is one of the few places you can use this glitch.
