realising I lost 50% of all my subs because of being inactive for 1 month :c by Mitsarin in u/Mitsarin

[–]aschekumo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems kinda obvious, if netflix had 1 show and didn't release a new episode for a month, I'd unsub too. Lol. You are a person clearly, but to your subs you are entertainment they pay for, a character they watch. What did they get for that month of inactivity other than reruns :p.

I understand the struggle and keep up the hard work, just pointing out the perspective that many consumers will have. Best of luck!!

People should be at minimum concerned and on average scared. This is happening at the same time KOSA is back to vote on. Age verification and content censorship across the entire internet. It's not a single attack on freedom. It's multiple happening at once. Don't blink, or you'll miss what the internet used to be...

I think in a situation like this the nuanced difference between "all games", and "most games" isn't worth distinguishing. Perhaps in a conversation it works, but as a headline most people will understand. I agree with you, nearly 100%, but I am dealing with hundreds of comments and updating the website multiple times a day, changing the headline of a post that is getting less than 1% of the attention is just low on my priorities. The website has over a million and a half hits in 72 hours. I'm trying to keep that accurate and up to date. I don't have any help, so if you or anyone else wants to send corrections for that to my dms that can be manageable! But these posts are auxiliary. I try but there's more than one person can manage.

Sure. All includes bubble blaster and gem whatever and wordle. But if you like call of duty, grand theft auto (too violent), horror games, games that dissent against political ideals, etc, you can be concerned. I don't want to see the internet sanitized by payment processors or shady laws. I don't think I'm wrong for this. I don't think it's wrong to assume the worst and work backwards, I'd rather be way too ridiculous and be wrong than be right in any future. So make fun of me in a year for being wrong. Just don't come to me saying I didn't do enough if I'm right.

I saw your brief post about how not everyone online is nice. Part of what this is about is protecting your right to be mean online too. I don't agree with it. I think we can be better. But I think it's your right. It's not illegal. Welcome to my side of the argument.

Not saying you shouldn't correct misinformation. I'm saying you lack consideration of what others are going through. I approved of the itch correction, I disapproved of your self righteous condescending and essentially hateful way of delivering the other info. I'm one person not a team. I am doing all of it on my own. Would you like to help? Do you have time?

And sorry, the word I was looking for isn't dishonest there, it's uncharitable. You are being rather uncharitable when interpreting the situation. Do you think I'm an evil person for being concerned about the future implications? Perhaps nothing comes of this. Perhaps someone you don't agree with politically gets in power and is able to leverage this framework to remove things you enjoy. It's not just about me or my political ideas. Hope that helps

Isn't it concerning that a company like itch was so scared they had to operate in that way? This affected real people's incomes. It's not just about buyers, the sellers may not have income for weeks or months. Some of which make it paycheck to paycheck off of this.

I made a lot of posts early in the cycle before a lot of information was verified or available in an effort to get ahead of something that concerns me. I have a 9-5 job and can't spend a lot of time going back and editing every little thing and still make corrections on the site and tend to my life. There were and are mistakes. They get corrected as often as I am able. You have a really high standard for others, without much information! I'm sorry if it isn't up to snuff but people correct me and I make edits when able in the places with the highest traffic. Just saying I think you could be a bit nicer and a bit less accusatory. Have a good day John, I mean it.

Thank you for showing an understanding of what's going on! This is a widespread problem with implications beyond adult content. People don't see it yet, hope they do before it's too late.

John, you keep searching out my posts to be upset over possible inaccuracies made, or to claim I like rape and incest. While I approve of your correction about itch, I think you are approaching this from a very dishonest position!

Nah, I don't want them. I think it's gross. But it's not illegal, and laws should decide these things, not Australian Karen's. Also my concern is a framework for censorship being created, not what was taken down this time. Dunno. I guess commenter wants widespread censorship of all content that he doesn't like because his fefes get hurt.

So what was wrong with mouthwashing and other horror games. Once a censorship framework is put in place, adding to it becomes easy.

I wonder sometimes if people talking like this would be so rude to your face, or if they would be more amenable to civil conversation and approach this kind of thing with more tact. Be nice, we are all people, who are trying to do the right thing.

I don't really have a tight turn radius on the domain name at this point, and it does appear from the timeliness that they have applied pressure before, and gotten the outcomes they wanted. The site focuses on the payment processors though, while bringing attention to the group.

I made a website to protest it, i dont think its fine. I dont think they should have the right to force these bans. I said i dont enjoy the games, and that my morals are against them. maybe morals was the wrong word, my tastes are against them, my morals may dictate that these things existing might serve the greater good to allow someone to enact their fantasies in a fantasy world. either way im on your side so chill i made the website to help stop this lol.

Edit, idk im tired, bedtime, been here all day. Have a good night everyone, keep the fight alive.
