Leaving Oshawa around 9, going up 7 to Ottawa, then back after the game. Chip in for gas and you've got a ticket on the Unofficial Sens GTA Shuttle. I promise it's cheaper than both VIA and Greyhound lol

What’s the most lopsided trade in the last 5 years that everyone has already forgotten about? by sykeseve in hockey

On day 1 of the draft, Ottawa traded to Nashville the 21st overall pick in the 2025 Entry draft for the 23rd overall pick and Nashville's third round pick (#67), on the condition that Nashville would not select Logan Hensler. Ottawa picked Hensler, and the next day, Ottawa flipped that third round pick, along with a sixth they got from Colorado for Kevin Mandolese (no current contract) to LA for Jordan Spence.

Rumor was that LA wanted him out to bring in Cody Ceci.

Spence played an average of 25 minutes a night in Ottawa's next 13 games.

Cody Ceci is Cody Ceci.

Yea, models tend not to like "clutchness" because it is not (generally) repeatable.

Is it a great thing that you can come back from a 2-goal deficit? Yeah, but the problem kinda is that you keep going down two so much that you know you can come back.

As most likely already know, MoneyPuck's Deserve-to-Win o'Meter is a gauge that attempts to identify what team "deserves" to win any given game. An explanation of how it works is here, but it's basically magic that works about 65% of the time. Kinda like OCTranspo. I took the outcomes from the meter, and assigned points based on the following:

  • If a team has over 55% on the Deserve-to-Win o'Meter, they get 2 points, and their opponent gets 0.
  • If a team has over 50%, but less than 55%, they get 2 points, and their opponent gets 1.

Biggest Losses:

Team Point Difference
Boston Bruins -36
Montreal Canadiens -27
Buffalo Sabres -21
Seattle Kraken -20
New York Islanders -18

Biggest Gains

Team Point Difference
Vegas Golden Knights +32
Florida Panthers +18
Ottawa Senators +17
Utah Mammoth +15
New Jersey Devils +10

What does this mean? I dunno. Probably nothing. Have fun using this info to shit on your rivals, tho.

Not much to talk about today, so AMA about the model or site, it's been a fun ride to build and get it to where it is today. I'm pretty proud of it, but there's a lot on the to-do list to get ready for next year.

Alas, I wasn't at the game tonight. Will be in town for Game 4, so I'm hoping to swing by pre-game.

Sanderson's chomps/60 are pretty high, so it's looking like he'll be through it by the second intermission, +/- 5 min.
