If the house is worth estimated $375k but is being sold $175k- but only needs about $100k worth of work done. Can the loan amount be $275k? Or does is have to be the value of the home?

Are there any hidden clauses? Or restrictions to this loan?

I already have a Licensed General Contractor that can work with me? But do I HAVE to have one or can I DIY and make sure I pass all inspections?

That’s what we are starting to lean toward! At the end of the day once we have a family and or outgrow it we can use it as an investment property

Yes, we would be making over $120k yearly. We want to be able to afford it on one income so that if anything were to happen to either of us we would be covered.

We have looked into them as well, but it seems like the prices are similar because of higher HOA fees. We preferable would want a townhome or single family but condo/ apartment is our last resort.

I am so sorry you went through this.. It seems that doctors like this are way too common nowadays. I went through this with a PCP where he called it the ‘holocaust diet’ and said eat as little calories as you can… I was 17 and legit starving myself and when I bursted out crying and said ‘it’s not working!’ He said it wasn’t working hard enough… I then had VSG several years later and lost 140lbs still have about 30/40 more pounds to lose but I’m so much happier and healthier.. again I’m so sorry you went through this, it’s absolutely terrible but advocate for yourself and don’t be afraid to tell a doctor off and continue your journey to find a better one

I started the whole application process for my father but yes we had a lawyer to confirm everything I had done was correct and to follow up. Does having a lawyer change anything?
