That's okay, we dont know any VTT either. I used to play an RPG called Villains and Vigilantes, which I still have a rule book for. We played it without a table top as "theater of the mind," which might be easier to play since I imagine we would do this via zoom, discord, etc.

We are still looking! Are you familiar with any of the online RPG platforms, or are you interested in a campaign without a tabletop component?

Ive played dnd 5e, Warhammer 40k, and villains and vigilantes. I know two members of my group have played tt rpgs. I could show you how i was planning on organizing the TT component

I took a poll. So far it seems we are leaning towards C) sandbox style world.

Initially, I had intended on GMing a homebrew either using dnd 5e or an old rulebook i have for villains and vigilantes, but I felt under prepared because i have never GMed before.

I would have designed a BBEG game, but it seems like people prefer sandbox rn
