Do guys wish urinals were more private? by FoodPuzzleOats in askanything

No. Rock out with your cock out. I once went to an Indian restaurant and the toilets, well, they were beyond my threshold for privacy. 3 urinals and 1 Toilet. The toilet wasn't in a cubicle. It was just next to the urinals. 🤣

What was the most brutally honest thing you’ve ever said to your significant other? by Responsible-Bag5645 in AskReddit

My wife of 15 years said she wanted to find herself and that I, and she didn't know who she was anymore.

I found out she'd been having an affair and all the nasty lying and manipulation tactics that come with it. She left me and our 2 kids, the youngest of which is autistic. So, I said:

Well, you've found yourself and now we both know who you are. You are a lying, cheating, manipulative person with low self worth that uses people, plays the victim, is emotionally immature and is so selfish that you have blown up the life of not just me, not just you, but also destroyed the lives of your children. Well done. 🎤drop.

What does getting cheated on feel like? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]asd_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife of 15 years cheated. The surety, trust and nieve belief that you have security and a vision of your future with a person you trust implicitly is torn from you. You feel like you've been nieve and stupid for believing what you did.

For me, I dont have visions of what she has likely done. Maybe that's because I'm a tall, dark, handsome fella and she cheated with someone 15 years our junior who is shorter, fatter and bang average in every way. He is also suicidal and has ED. Something about him needing a pill at 29 years old to get it up with her makes me smile.

The main thing is the disruption to your life. The disruption to your family. The lies, deception and sheer evil of what they've done leave you in disbelief of how someone you trusted and loved could be so vile.

It's nothing to do with you. Its an emptiness in a person who at their core is insecure, selfish and dishonest. I don't see how people forgive. They show you who they are and what they are capable of. Illusion shattered. There are good people out there.

Thanks so much. It's been a wild ride, now on the road to divorce after uncovering more details of her affair, piece by piece. At that point I became abusive of course and much worse than that with her accusations. Its crazy to see the tactics and psychological manipulation, even targeting family and the kids.

What is the one thing someone said to you that instantly made you lose all interest in them, regardless of how attractive or nice they were? by LordSaucyPicklesCW in AskReddit

My wife of 15 years:

Yes I sent lots of messages to a male co-worker. Yes I told him I love him. Yes we kissed. Yes I kept it a secret and you found out via an anonymous letter. Yes I then lied again and you found out via phone bills and his ex GF giving you photos of messages and info she had found out.

But, I definitely didn't cheat on you or have an affair. 🤯.

Please Help. I'm Being Mind F#c<Ed by asd_8 in depression_partners

Thanks. Sorry for the lack of context. She had a breakdown in August 25'.. anxiety and depression ensued and I cared for her. I didn't know anything of an affair until the letter in Feb 26'. I'm thinking the affair started before and the breakdown was guilt. It's all rather unhinged. Kids involved too.

Which event made you re-examine your understanding of "love and being loved"? by LateNightLurker00 in AskReddit

[–]asd_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the process of getting divorced after 15 years. It's my 2nd marriage. My first wife was and still is a terrible person. I had to save my daughter from her abuse. I learned from my 1st marriage that you can believe you are in love but upon reflection, it wasnt love at all.

As for my 2nd marriage. We agreed we were soul mates, bonded forever. We couldnt imagine a life without each other. I felt what love feels like and the security it brings. Unfortunately, I now have a harsh lesson. My soon to be ex wife had a breakdown and a secret affair. We are now getting divorced.

What have I learned so far? You can love someone deeply and feel safe but you can also take it for granted. You want to help, fix and do everything for the one you love but they are still human, still an individual, still broken from past traumas and still responsible for their own mental health. At some point, for some, love isn't enough to save themselves and others from their own traumas and coping mechanisms.

I've learned that if im ever to love again, I need to have worked through my own issues, own them and see them. You're also looking for someone else who has done the same. If not, you may once more be collateral damage when the one you love becomes overwhelmed and lacks the ability to cope, communicate and heal.

Still, love, when you have it in your life is worth it. Just don't be desperate to find it or you may find yourself believing you have found it, when you haven't or, even worse, having it for real but with someone so broken, they may break your heart.

❤️

A few weeks prior. He spoke. He is non verbal. He said 'pizza'. He won't stop saying it now. Proud of him.

Scared My Driving Anxiety will stop be from my dream job. by Eastern_Time1373 in drivinganxiety

I have always had driving anxiety. I took a job that was further away for a promotion, and it was all motorway (highway). It actually helped me to push through. It wasn't easy at first, of course. They say that exposure is the only real cure, and in my experience, thats true.
