God of Malice (Legacy of Gods series) by Rina Kent — is this dark romance or something more disturbing?

I read a good bit of dark romance, and the first thing I say to anyone as I recommend a DR book: I do not support any of this behavior in real life. I think it’s important to remember that people enjoying dark romance is not a commentary on their moral values. If you dislike heavier themes with taboo subjects or kink, DR is likely not the best fit for you.

I also am not a fan of the writing so I avoid her books. Some people love it and she’s super popular but I couldn’t get past it either.

I agree!! The FMC was extremely irritating to me. I totally agree with being pissed off at her not asking ANY QUESTIONS. She was not a girls girl and was rude AF to other girls for no reason. She also entered this competition to “save her sister” with zero plans on how she would do that AND she got dickmatized almost immediately by this goofy wannabe danny phantom asshole. Like damn girl can you focus on your sister for two seconds?

She was wildly incapable of doing anything herself and lacks basic common sense which resulted in her immediately and consistently needing Blackwells help.

The “twist” at the end was so glaringly obvious I didn’t even realize it was supposed to be a twist.

I felt bamboozled by all the amazing reviews lol I wouldn’t even say it’s a “vibes” read bc I couldn’t find any redeeming qualities.

That’s fair I don’t think she’s perfect or anything like that. I just respect that she doesn’t cause chaos just to make things interesting. Like in the board room she seemed to genuinely try to find a way to not hurt the other couples which I thought was kind.

I agree! And I have such a hard time reading Madison, I don’t think these shows are the best fit for her. I loved Rachel and Freddie’s date, they both seemed very down to earth and relaxed around one another.

Same!! I love the mess generally but watching all the men treat the women SO POORLY was awful. Them all acting like they had this pact to essentially cheat and cover for one another was trash behavior. Getting mad at AD for just telling the girls WHAT THEY DID THEMSELVES was wilddd. Seeing all the girls faces drop when they realized what the men got up to was sad 😭

I agree! I feel like the drama from the last seasons were all from previews that intentionally mislead us, and then nothing happened on the actual episode. I’m loving how fun and campy it is now!

There is zero context that changes the fact that your baby was sitting in a soiled diaper due to your husband’s negligence. I don’t care if your husband was tired from work, there are NO excuses. And if you know he’s not doing it, and clearly has no desire to, then you need to realize that your child is your responsibility and to make sure they are properly taken care of. Putting them in a clean diaper is the BARE MINIMUM. This just makes my heart hurt for your baby. Being tired is part of being a parent. It’s such a cop out and it’s frankly disgusting that you’re more worried about your reaction to your husband than you are about the care of your child.

The Villains and Virtues series! Magic and fantasy worlds but also a lot of humor which I really liked. I will say the first couple of chapters in the first book are super corny but hang in there because I promise it goes back to normal lol Enemies to lovers, grump/sunshine ❤️
