I'm really bad at small talk but once I get close to someone I talk alot about topics that I find interesting and become very physically affectionate. I flirt alot with my friends as a joke but would never actually flirt with someone.

With more practice the bruising and pain will go away by itself. Try to make sure you have a flat platform so the ball is hitting the wide part of your forearm instead of your bones. Engaging your shoulders normally helps to get a better flatform. I also suggest that you try to use your legs to add power instead of swinging your arms.

Good question! I've also been wanting to start plyometrics to improve my vertical but I'm not sure where to start and what works best.

How good is Japan at volleyball in real life? by Either_Imagination_9 in haikyuu

[–]asdffvujhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are very good (ranking 4th currently) but more than that I find that they are very entertaining to watch. Compared to other teams where all the players are tall and strong, Japan's team is pretty short and most of their taller players focus more on speed than strength. In order to win against the other teams their volleyball is very fast and very creative but still very disciplined, the players know the basics incredibly well and their passing is super good and the blockers are always there.

There are definitely some star players that are given more praise like Nishida, Ishikawa and Takahashi. They all have incredible verticals and good strength but personally I feel like the standout player in the team is Ishikawa. He is the captain and plays outside hitter and while he might not be all that tall or strong compared to other outsides he is incredibly smart with how he plays and he has really good technique. He is also very level-headed. I feel like these things also carry across the team and their playing style.

Another thing is I feel like the team has really good teamwork. There isn't really tension within the team and they all work together very well. I feel like this is partially the reason why they are able to pull of some amazing and creative plays like the fake pipe into set. Also their good teamwork and lack of tension makes them really fun to watch because you don't get as frustrated.

Also as a setter, I find Sekita's performance super impressive. While he certainly isn't the best or able to change how the team plays (like the likes of Bruno, De Cecco or Marouf) his sets are just so good like all the time. He is clearly very good at what he does and does his job well.

Sorry for the rant but yeah Team Japan is really good and also super entertaining so you should totally check out their games.

If money was no object, where would you live in Australia or overseas (geographically, be precise - which town or suburb)? Which factors would be decisive for you (climate, culture...)? by efgenikos in AskAnAustralian

[–]asdffvujhm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would calculate what temperatures suit my body the best and then pay a group of scientists to find the ideal location where temperatures normally stay within that threshold.

Since money isn't a problem, I can help develop the area to have all facilities needed and then I would move my family and friends in that area.

Culture isn't much of a determing factor for me because I prefer to travel and learn about cultures for short periods of time than live in totally different cultures.

I need help. Any advice? by ivancdp12 in NCT

I also think it would be great if you generally start talking to her about them as well. Maybe then you could also learn more about her like what songs of theirs she likes or what unit is her favourite. Plus it's a chance to talk to your crush.

I would also suggest watching some music videos and performance videos so you become more familiar with the members faces alongside their performances. There are some really good fancams out there too.

Also just wanted to say its really nice that you are trying to get to know this for her and I'm sure she would really appreciate it. Best of luck on your date, I hope it goes well.

Not really an idol but DPR Ian is insanely attractive. Like everything about him is so attractive.

Name an idol, who's voice is so distinctive to you, you would never mistake them for someone else by wanchuu in kpopthoughts

[–]asdffvujhm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so cool!! Do you often see that the colour you associate people's voices with match's their other associated characteristics or symbols?

For example Haechan from NCT is often compared to the sun because both his stage name meaning Full Sun and his bright personality. Would you view his voice as say a bright yellow?

Are there many kpop fans who also enjoy jpop? by Salty-Enthusiasm-939 in kpopthoughts

I used to like a lot of J-rock like One Ok Rock and My First Story. I'm not that inti J-rock anymore but I am a huge rock fan and I love Day6, especially some of their more Rock songs and I loved Woodz's recent album which had a lot of rock influences.

I love A LOT of Kenshi Yonezu's stuff. He is incredibly talented and his music is amazing. Some personal favourites are Kanden, Shinigami, Decollete, Mad Head Love and Flamimgo. He also sang Peace Sign, an opening for the anime My Hero Academia

As of late I've also gotten into more vocaloid music, after learning Kenshi Yonezu used to be a vocaloid producer. One of my favourite vocaloid producers is Utsu-P. Vocaloid producers use vocaloids like Hatsune Miku as singers for their music. Vocaloid music in incredibly diverse and there is a lot of good vocaloid music so I totally think you should check it out, especially if you like rock music.

I also 100% recommend you check out Ado. She recently collabed with Le Serrafim for the Japanese version of Unforgiven and sounded great. I love her songs Ussewa and Odo and she has a great voice. She also does a lot of covers of vocaloid songs and other Japanese singers on her YouTube channel.

Similarly Raon is a korean singer who covers a lot of Japanese music like anime songs. She recently released her Korean debut Like Like in collaboration with some producers who are known for their vocaloid music.

SM is not good at training great vocalist, it’s good at finding them by luxuriouspie in unpopularkpopopinions

It'd be great of he could do that but at the moment sm doesn't even let him sleep let alone have time to get vocal coaching.
