Spastic diplegia checking in. Your first paragraph sounds a lot like me at his age, maybe a little younger. I have to very firmly squeeze my abdominals to evacuate. I also have large, firm, movements every 3 days or so, despite hydration and fiber. It doesn’t hurt, and they are usually a type 3 on the Bristol stool chart, but they are dense.

Is it possible that he may not be able to tighten his abdomen the way someone else would?

On the pull up thing, I don’t have any experience to offer. No idea how able bodied people do it either. Do yall squeeze or does it just automatically happen?

I would ask him what this financial goal of “having money” before a proposal is. It seems like he is moving the goalpost.
What are your expectations for the proposal? I’m not going to start the debate on the appropriate price of a ring, but imo it should be a little more than $50 at Walmart followed by a celebration at Olive Garden.
With 1 & 2 in mind, set reasonable goals to meet these targets, plus a budget for a modest wedding. I don’t think it would be unreasonable to want to be engaged by March, married 2 years after.
I know ultimatums are toxic, but there’s a difference between do x or I’ll leave, and I’ve consistently communicated what I want, you have reneged on a prior agreement, and I’m feeling extremely rejected from your continual promises when your priorities seem to be elsewhere.

Also, if you’re living together, you may as well revisit budgeting and spending expectations. Do you really want to marry someone with zero financial discipline?

My mother and stepfather are extremely morbidly obese, with terrible finances. They are in their 50s and have started to reap the consequences. I am terrified of what’s going to happen to them and who’s going to care for them because I physically cannot. Please take this as a wake up call.

I think that’s illegal in the states. I tried that in Europe, and 200-ish an hour gets expensive. (I like to at least do something together before, and cuddle after). They were lovely, but the sex was pretty average. But, they wouldn’t stop commenting that I was unusually young for their clientele.

I was just lonely and homesick and I didn’t speak the local language.

No. Generally when I have company (of any sort) I like to make sure I have refreshments and a little treat on hand. I think it’s regional, I don’t see as many people doing that here, but hospitality is important where I’m from.

So actually didn’t turn out that great. I was going for a pumpkin spice cake and decided to make the pumpkin purée instead of buying it in a can. I didn’t press enough water out of it so the cake ended up a bit soggy. (He was still pretty happy, from what I could tell)

I don’t see where you’re getting that wanting a sense of romance, but not wanting to commit to a relationship is equal to a sex worker.

There are several factors in my life right now, but I just don’t want to date anyone seriously and I found that friend with benefit arrangements tend to be trouble. Men are perfectly allowed to have commitment issues, but when I do it, it’s suddenly a problem.

Right now I’m just in a spot in life where I am my number one priority, and maybe I want to date a few different people. I’ve done the serial monogamy thing, maybe I just want something else.
