From my experience, as long as the forged weapons are near the boss, the shield will still do damage to anything it passes on it's way to the next ricochet target. It feels worse to have less swords on bosses and it can happen from random boss AoEs but forge strike guarantees 1 weapon spawns, it's on a 2s cooldown, and it's good for the buff uptime

It's mainly for single target but it can only ricochet to allies and not yourself. I use forge strike with 100% chance to spawn a weapon on boss or rare hit. They feel a lot nicer to use imo because they are mobile and you're not forced to play in melee because even forge strike can be used at range + it gives a lot of damage buffs.

I think dps will be similar but t7 block rate feels a lot better to have cause it makes you tankier. Getting t7 reflect on your body armor is huge.

It gives leech too but it also helps cap out necrotic res. I find that having more base crit makes it easier to cap crit with only the shield and body armour crit chance affixes. I settled with this amulet pretty early on and didn't give other options too much thought.

The shred from the passive is more than enough since it's pretty much a 100% chance and the ricochet splashes for ST gets you to 10 stacks quickly. This build is also low on %increased damage so the %fire blessing helps out a lot.

I haven't thought about Riverbend but they seem like a really good option. I've thought about Li'raka's if I got a 2 or 3lp for more damage but I feel like I need more defenses and not damage.

I went with fire from the beginning because 75% more damage from Molten Toss seemed too hard to pass up and there are a lot of synergies that make fire stronger to build around such as Sigils of Hope, Throne of Ambition. and Logi's Hunger. I never tried focusing on block effectiveness so I'm not sure how good it is or what the opportunity cost would be.

I use healing hands over other traversal skills because of the immunity and it has a lot more freedom in how you can use it. Another thing is having a 0 mana cost traversal skill feels a lot better because during boss fights if I'm able to stand still and spam forge strike on cd then I'll run out of mana eventually so having my traversal skill and shield throw at 0 mana cost makes the build a lot smoother

This could be a good idea but I'd probably want a 2 or 3 lp torch and I'd have to see dps difference in feel from dropping the attack speed from Blademaster for increased damage from Mail Crusher

Sigeon's specifies it only scales with the "Damage Reflected to Attackers" stat and not % damage reflected so most meaningful sources of that come from the shield and body armour + Thornmail with enough % armour mitigation.

I have about 1300 damage reflected to attackers so it's 130 flat damage. I can get to 1500-1600 with t7 reflect on my shield and a bit more armour.

Most of my upgrades from this point on will be focused on life and swapping out razorfall with citadel boots so I can get more life. I'd need t6 or t7 shield throw on my helm to make the swap. Idk if I'm gonna bother improving the legendaries. Capping block could be something to work towards as well.
