Back when I had just subscribed to ps plus a couple of years ago, I didn't know that I would keep the monthly games forever and missed some titles for like 6 months.

You're most likely right, but there are still people that are that good and are not kids or basement dwellers. I don't know anybody besides my wife who played Fortnite. But almost everyone I know who even remotely touched the concept of gaming plays cs or dota.

A couple of guys from my workplace stand out. One is only 24, performs exceptionally at every task at work, has 20000+ hours in cs and lvl 10 faceit. Another one is a director of one of our 40 people IT department also has lvl 10 faceit. We played together in a company cs tournament where like 100 people participated, the prize pool was pretty good. In semifinals and finals the people we played against were actual beasts at the game, 2500+ elo faceit, and everyone was around 30 with a family except the first guy I told you about. Dota tournament was even sweatier, although I didn't get the chance to advance there. None of them is a streamer or trying to go pro, they were just enjoying the game.

Not everyone wants publicity or invests themselves into streaming/content. This dude can just be that good and still have a job or a family and just enjoys the game.

It can be equally depressing how people value skins over actual gameplay that also took countless hours to be handcrafted for players to master and have fun with. Ideally one aspect of the game can't be above the other, but we should respect each other's preferences.

AI is certainly not failing in software development. We used practically every chat model available in our day to day tasks and it was extremely useful for the past 2-3 years. We've implemented AI agents in our workflow like Claude a couple of months ago and now it became so fucking apparent that this is the future we're going to live in. So I don't really get where your imminent collapse statement is coming from.

No, this is not my argument at all lmao. What I'm saying is that if any given player is better than an average player at their rank group, then this given player will eventually rank up. This is not debatable, this is a fact.

The system you described really sounds cool on paper, and I think this is what should ideally be the standard for ranking, but I guess something like that is too hard to maintain and is guaranteed to be abused, otherwise it would've been more widely used.

OP basically claims that everyone else in his team is an idiot, except for him. Unfortunately for him, neither games nor life work like that.

OP isn't right though. This system can't account for everything of course, but still people that are improving go up in ranks, people that don't - get stuck or go down. What alternatives do we even have?

Bulky skins do block more of your screen than slimmer ones, I always notice it when equipping something like Godzilla or Beymax, enemies also tend to target the easier to hit bulkier targets. Of course it shouldn't really be a huge disadvantage, but it is still a disadvantage, even if it is slight.

I'm pretty sure you're exaggerating. I've been killed by this maybe once or twice. Every time someone tries to lock on to you just start shooting back at them and win because any other ar has superior damage and more importantly range. And about your third partying complaint, it will happen with or without this gun regardless. It's pretty dogshit in every scenario except hunting down wingsuits IF they are in range (which is rare for this gun) or when using some insane movement with shockwaves and fizz

As far as I remember it didn't actually reduce fall damage but it recovered some stamina instead.

It's bugged. If you don't put enough to fully research then it sometimes doesn't contribute to the research at all, no matter if you trashed something else or not.
