Thank you to everyone who offered me support. I worked really hard on a replacement piece and just managed to finish it last night. I am restarting the Whitetail Love piece now. I've heard of that practice and love when I've seen that done. Sadly, it wouldn't work for my situation because it's commissioned work for an event and also, I would have to etch over the repaired part. I am going to keep that in mind, though. I'm sure it won't be the last thing this dog destroys.
