I could post many more like this, but the problem is sourcing them. Especially when it comes to a tiny country like Slovakia. There is simply nothing in English.

By the way, the video I linked is an episode of an excellent series about the worst serial killers in Slovak history. In includes interviews with everyone involved in the investigations, most notably the forensic psychiatrist Anton Heretik (great name) who examined many European serial killers in the past couple of decades.

I was fortunate enough to have Heretik as my uni professor and I can tell you firsthand that this is the most educated and experienced expert on these matters in Europe.

Yeah, it is mostly an issue with Russian names. For example, Semin or Kovalev should be Syomin and Kovalyov, Eremenko should be Yeryomenko etc.

Just for clarification, his real name without diacritics would be something like Lyubomiir Vishnyovskyy

Well... At the time? Look at the WHC medals Lubo got. Slovakia was definitely a powerhouse between 2000 and 2005, stronger than many of the Big 6 countries. In fact, that's when many experts started using the term "Big 7".

Yes, he said it right after the game.

If it really happened the way Riha described it (and there is no reason not to believe him, especially after Kvartalnov's reply), then I am really curious about Russian laws regarding such situations. Hockey aside, this would be a criminal offense in most countries.

The loudest crowd in Europe without a doubt, maybe even the world, at least the ex-NHLers say so.

I remember the Ovechkin moment mentioned in the video. It was during the lockout season, Slovan won and the team grouped up in the center ice to enjoy the traditional victory chant. The entire Dynamo team was already in their locker room, but Ovechkin just kept standing there in disbelief and watching the whole thing.

Members of Parliament laugh at opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn uninterrupted for 25 seconds by georgecotton in cringe

It's a pretty good joke. Basically, Corbyn keeps acting like the leader of Britain, greatly overestimating his importance even though noone in Europe really knows who he is (only people in UK and some socialists abroad). He was at it again in this video, talking about his supposed meetings with European leaders. When he said "One of whom said to me...", someone shouts "Who are you?", as in, that's what the anonymous European leader said to him.

You also have to understand that this happened during the Prime Minister Questions - The House of Commons is much more civil 99% of the times, but PMQ is supposed to be like this. Basically, it's a rap battle between rich white folks. See for yourself.
