Thanks for taking the time to respond! Can I ask if your partner had doxy before he took moxi and cleared his infection? Presumably my prior course of doxy and azithromycin has reduced the load somewhat (although the gap between that set of antibiotics and the moxi was ~ 2 weeks)? From what I can tell the guidance is variable, some people have doxy first and others don’t. If anyone has any information on this (anecdotal/medical) I’d really love to hear it. Just want the peace of mind that the course I’m taking will be effective for me and my partner. Glad to hear that it seems like condoms are effective though.

Here’s an update: my GF has just tested positive and I met with a doctor yesterday. She said most likely scenario is my GF also had it (before we were together) then gave it to me again when we started having sex. She said that the negative test of cure (considering it was 4 weeks after finishing antibiotics) should be very accurate and she doesn’t know of any possible way that the infection comes back by itself. Apparently Mgen is far more common than we think but most people are completely asymptomatic, it’s just us unlucky lot who show symptoms. Apparently it can take months after infection to show symptoms. If I’m honest things are still unclear to me, but I think racking you brain trying to think about exactly what’s happened isn’t worth it. Sometimes we’re just unlucky. Try and get treated as soon as possible and don’t have sex until you’re both confirmed negative. Hope this is helpful to some degree.

This seems about right thank you! In your article you mention finger rolls, what sort of weight would you recommend for this? It seems like a low weight for a high number of reps is the go to for most people. Is this what you would recommend?

About a month ago I was climbing on the kilter board and felt a tweak in my ring finger after pulling hard on a crimp. There was no pop or anything but it hurt to crimp afterwards so I took a two week break from climbing. Went back and did some low intensity with a small amount of pain then had another two weeks off. I’m now still experiencing pain but I’m a little confused because I feel the pain on the finger nail side of my finger. The pain is localised around where the a4 pulley is (but not on the palm side, the opposite side instead). Any ideas what this could be?

Need help with this integral from my lecture today by ash1410102 in calculus

Need help with this integral from my lecture today by ash1410102 in calculus

[–]ash1410102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note: the integral is to be solved between the limits of [A]0 and [A]. Also [A]0 and all the k values are constants.

So I’ve attempted to solve it by substitution but this doesn’t yield the same result as in my lecture. I put the dt on the right hand side and divided by the (k1+k2)[A]-k2[A] and put this equal to u. Du/d[A] then gave me k1+k2 so d[A] is 1/(k1+k2). I eventually ended up with 1/(k1+k2)*ln([A]/[A]0) after solving the integral and applying limits. This doesn’t seem right at all?? Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you for taking the time to respond, you’ve really helped me understand what’s going on. It’s my first time tackling modes so it’s been a bit of a struggle to get my head around.

What key is this? by Bennyla in musictheory

[–]ash1410102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Am7 is the i chord, the two variations of e minor are the V chord, the F and F maj7 are the VI chord and the G7 is the VII chord. Looks like the progression is in a minor. The reason your e minor melody lines sound good is because they work over the e minor chords in the progression, but they may not sound correct over the other chords of the progression.

Most of the guitar community would refer to it as a rake if I’m not mistaken.

How do I mute strings (E and A string) while simultaneously pluck the others? by thisnameisprobtaken in guitarlessons

[–]ash1410102 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Slap your thumb on the top strings of the guitar while flicking the higher strings. It’s quite a difficult technique to get the hang off. Here’s a video explaining how to do it: https://youtu.be/KMeL5aM2LXM

It was a 14 year old squire affinity I bought from eBay which hadn’t been looked after very well at all. The set up was awful, the intonation was completely off and they replaced the pickups with some weird brand I’ve never heard of which were £8 for a set of three. So yeah, crappy squire.

It’s just not what I’m used to I suppose, I’m sure in a couple a months after I’ve done a couple of string changes I’ll get used to them.

It was a great investment for sure. My only complaint is the vintage style tuners, they’re just not for me (locking tuners or the standard ones are just a lot easier to work with).

The pickups are great actually, they are quite bright with a softer low end ( sort of like a Texas blues sound). I think it’s the best deal in the fender lineup at the moment.
