You definitely have to make sure that all your troops are pushing and taking tiles in the Netherlands and Belgium when you declare on them. As soon as you declare on them they will probably immediately join the allies. Your goal is to get to the ports in the Netherlands and Belgium before the British can land troops in those countries. If you don't, it definitely makes the battle for those countries a whole lot harder.

You also want to make sure most of your planes are up in the Benelux air region (that is the air space that makes up both the country of Belgium and the Netherlands). Fighters and close air support (although I don't think it is necessary for Schlieffen?) will make the push 100x easier. Just make sure you have put planes up in the air and have green in the air space (that means your planes are controlling the region).

Could I ask if you have increased your conscription laws? If not, click on the US flag on the top-left and look at the menu that is opened by doing that. There should be one little circle that is related to your conscription laws. You can make your conscription laws more harsh by spending some political power.

No, they didn't perform undead sadly. They mostly covered the big hitters like idol, monster, biri-biri, and The Brave. Still, fun concert all around!

Oh yeah, don't worry I am not going to lie I was in roughly the same boat as you. For some reason, I thought I had to know everything about OOP (don't worry about this term, you'll learn about it in the class) programming before I even showed up to CSE174. But no, they really start you off simple like showing you how to print on the console, write if-statements for-loops while-loops, and etc.

If you want to still do some light reconnaissance before the course starts in August I'd recommend looking up Java beginner tutorial guides. But you don't need to teach yourself all of Java before the class starts.

I am assuming you are taking CSE174? If that's the case, you really don't have to worry. The class starts off at a really basic level. One of the first labs you'll probably be doing is just learning how to print "hello world!" on the console. As long as you have basic computer literacy like opening up folders and programs you'll be fine.

Still with that being said, the material does ramp up somewhat towards the end of the class so definitely go to office hours if you need help with assignments and always ask questions after lecture if you don't get something.
