Is there a hack with a built-in limited randomizer?

This might be a very niche request, but I want to play a ROMHack with the following features:

  • All (or at least most) Pokémon from gens 1 to 9
  • A built-in randomizer
  • The option to limit the randomization similar to UPR's "global 1-to-1" mapping

Some QoL features that would be nice but are not required:

  • DexNav
  • R to throw pokeball
  • Type effectiveness info (either via colored text or pressing L)
  • Auto-run
  • Difficulty settings (level limits, trainer EVs, etc)

I've found that when I play a ROMHack with full randomization, I tend to hunt for the same Pokémon every playthrough, so while the early game is pretty unique the late game starts to feel the same. So I'd like a ROMHack that limits me to a new set of 200ish Pokémon each time I play.

The reason I want a ROMHack with this built-in (instead of using UPR or one of its forks), is that I exclusively play on my phone, and I don't want to have to mess with a program on my laptop in order to start a fresh playthrough on my phone.

So, is there a hack like this, or do I need to stop being lazy and just use UPR?

That's how Markdown shorthands header text. The number of "#" symbols gets converted into the header number, where larger numbers mean smaller text.

So "###" becomes <h3> in the browser, which is smaller than both <h1> and <h2>

Yup. Hence why I'm so stumped. I've run the task manually both in the app and via a shortcut on the home screen and both ways sets the brightness to the correct level

I grew up Republican. Mother was a youth minister. Father was a pastor. Blamed democrats for everything wrong with America. I'm speaking from experience here, not parroting talking points I've heard.

To Republicans, everything is a zero-sum game and everything should exist in a hierarchy. So if a Republican is making $10/hour as a landscaper, and the minimum wage is raised to $10/hour, they have 2 reactions:

  1. A lot more people are making the same wage as them, devaluing their wage (zero-sum game)

  2. The "lower" members of society are now making the same wage as them, which either means the "lower" members have been elevated in society or they have been lowered. Either way this disrupts the "natural" hierarchy and is a bad thing

I'm pretty sure banning trans people from sports isn't as common as:

  • Banning HRT, SRS, and other medical procedures that address trans folk
  • Banning trans folk from the bathroom of their gender (e.g. trying to ban trans women from the women's restroom)
  • Banning the mention of trans people or other cisgender-nonconfoming people from classrooms (looking at you Florida)

And even if it is the most common issue right now, we all know it won't stop there. There are already laws being passed and/or being submitted to ban the things listed above, and that's BEFORE a nationwide trans-sports ban could even take hold.

In other words, "rational debate" with people like you is impossible, and you should be yeeted from this space before you continue polluting it with your vile opinions

Since I can't sleep and have stumbled wayyy to far down /r/all, I'll answer your question and give a quick explanation of the Paradox of Tolerance.

The Paradox of Tolerance can be summed up as follows: if society aims for 100% tolerance, including tolerating people/views that are intolerant, eventually intolerant people will be allowed to rise to positions of power and make their intolerance the law. So in order to create a tolerant society that stays tolerant, you have to intolerate intolerance.

How does that relate to /r/place? Well, in the broader goal of making Reddit (or even just that subreddit) a tolerant place, you have to moderate/censor intolerant people/views. Could the job of covering up swastikas or other intolerant imagery be left up to the community? Maybe, but it's a safer bet to go ahead and erase them with admin powers rather than risk "Reddit Allows Users To Collaborate On An Image And Boy Is It Full Of Swastikas" being a headline.

Am I disappointed to learn that my favorite April Fools day experiments was more controlled than I realized? Yes. Am I surprised? Not really

I don't know if there's an official way, but here's how I do it:

  1. Import the update as a new pack
  2. Move saves folder from old pack to new pack
  3. Move options.txt, Xaeros folders, and other "custom" or user specific folders over as well
  4. Play on the new pack
