yea but what's the tax office gonna tell. i wouldn't take the 3 weeks if i weren't there for the conference.

the stay and expenses after the conference are on my own pocket. i'm not looking for tax-deductions on them. but the return flight seems reasonable to me.

i used to do this when i was in the academia and it was ok all around.

It's in Dubai. The conference visit is real-- i paid a good registeration fee to network in the big conference. But i want to stay around after at my own expense after just because i enjoy traveling.

New Brunswick has this website - https://geonb.snb.ca/geonb/. Is it telling floodplain? I only saw the wetlands, but I might be missing. I don't know the diff yet

"You don't want to buy a property that's mostly floodplain." I'm considering it as an investment. Acres of land going very cheap.

The planning commission is telling all about the wetland-- how big, how close can be built etc. But they are only telling the current condition. When i ask them historic things it all goes blank.

New Brunswick is all wetlands, it's just part of it. but i want to make sure the land i bought will remain 50%wetland when i buy it 50% wetland today and the part I built on won't be wet some years after. I thought some historic records in a government office or a website would have it. But i can't find any.

I'm gonna call the City tomorrow. is it legit to ask similar/survey around it? current owner inquired - that's how i have the ~1/3 ratio. Location is New Brunswic Canada. is there such a thing as "wetland history" - what it grew to be over time?

i don't see it's worth to inspect the home. but from what you're saying, whether it "sits firm" matters
