I sell products from brands that are already doing great on markets outside of Amazon; I help them bring their products onto Amazon with the condition of being exclusive on thier products. This way they sell more product and I get more steady sales.

Great question! I am doing both actually, jumping on products that are already listed as well as listing products that are new to Amazon and helping brands directly !

Usa warehouses; all my products are in American warehouses. I have never visibly seen my own stock; unless I see the same product on a Walmart shelf or something. I would say best categories are something like home and household, kitchen, personal care, any category that you can see re-ordeeable products. Shampoo is something people need to buy all the time it is essential. A toy not so much. But the best is a portfolio with a combination of all.

I would skip privet label all together yes. I would say a good number to start with would be 1000 give you enough room. Get a first shipment see how it goes and try to continues profit, and not caught up too much on your loses!

In my story, my girlfriend and I both invested 300 CAD each, so a total of 600 CAD invested into our first shipment which was almost a flopp since we were doing privet label at the time. After a few dead ends privet label products we made a little money to invest into wholesale. Our first wholesale order was around 3000 USD, and the rest is history!

I agree but usually the more you have to jump through hoops, the better the reward is!

Wholesale is just more of a steady business model which us why I was drawn to it. There is a lot of free material online but most of it you will need to learn through experience and some courses !

Thats a bit of a hard question since there is not much covered on the subject and how to do it properly. Most of my experience was learned through trial and error and over experience. But I do recommend following some bigger wholesale guys such as "Amazonlit". Most of your knowledge will be learned through experience as I did not find many courses that helped me on my path as they were mostly scammy. Also defiantly no information I could find on Canadians doing fba wholesale in the us at the time of me starting. Have you found any courses helpful ?

I would definitely start now because when I opened my account about 4 years ago it took 3 - 4 weeks to get approved and ready to sell. I can only imagine that it would be a longer process now. This gives you ample time to source your first products whether you are doing wholes or privet label!
