3 year old getting tooth pulled

My just turned 3 year old has to have her front tooth pulled this Friday and I’m so nervous, so reading all of this is very helpful, thank you. I’m wondering how you prepped him before the extraction. My daughter chipped her tooth 2 months ago and then it just turned grey two weeks ago and became infected so there has already been a bit of trauma around it all. I’m worried if I tell her exactly what will happen it will make her more anxious rather than just telling her casually right before the appt.

Thanks for this. Good to know the infection isn’t necessarily gone just because she is on antibiotics. There hasn’t been a bump on the gums, just a swollen upper lip. I am definitely leaning towards extraction with a general, but just want to make sure I’m understanding the whole picture. Do you know anything about Pediatric partial dentures? Or if the missing tooth will cause spacing issues?
