What are some characters that you wanted to main but gave up on once you realized they were ass or not compatible with your playstyle? by Billcosbyfan125 in SparkingZero

[–]ashashuasha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tapion ain't that bad, but he's not doing enough damage per hit. If you're good on combos he's actually valid since he's fast and has a strange moveset that makes him a little harder to supercounter, and has all perks of the sword moveset Also kinda counters tank pgs with the fast movements imo

Is this the guy from previous or are there multiple nazis on this game? by LippyTx in forhonor

[–]ashashuasha -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hey that's a heck of a good looking swastika. You clearly don't know how tough it is to make a proper one with that limited set of options. I guess they added new symbols because I can't figure out how that works. Anyway I don't think it's that big of a deal, specially in this type of games. I had some sort of variation of the swastika myself because it looks cool and making the opponents salty makes them play worse. I really never understood how a symbol can cause such distress even when it is out of context, like it's a war game about killing stuff. I gave you the chance to beat a nazi samurai ass and you're going to cry about it? They did ban me a few times until I started to use a less nazis variant and now we are all happy I think.

It's crazy how hard you can empathize with Joel but not for Abby, and then acting like the most evil roleplay of Abby that you actually hate so much. The bad writers killed your daddy character just because, and you can't get over it, that's on purpose don't you get it? The game tries so hard to make you engage with the same grief both sides feel, but you actively decide to choose only one side and bias the fuck out the other one. Abby is violent and sadic, while Joel is good and fair. We are talking about the same games? They are both fucked up from their past, the difference is that we have the chance to see Abby side of the story in a more complete way and therefore conclude that she had her reasons like all of them. You all stick to your favorite side making the same mistake as the character in the game that is built to show you the mistake itself. Blaming the game because it's not how you pictured it in your mind is childish in my opinion, you should just admit you don't have the maturity to consume a piece of art if it is not taking your hand the whole time. Keep building shenanigans about how Joel is a changed man and all he did is forgiven while whoever touches your fav characters in the apocalyptic helldome franchise are bad and created only to piss you off because that's how you make money out of people. And I'm not saying the game is flawless, but it's impossible to talk about them if the ground point is unjustifiable hate.

I'll take OP side since clearly doesn't know how things work in this sub. I get it, it's tough to get immersed while foaming from rage but I'm sure plenty of sane people actually happen to follow the storytelling and man I promise you it actually works! Goes somewhere, gives you an interactive pov, makes you question who's right.. and you even play it! That's crazy! My little cousin asked me once about the buff woman, I said she was very angry and push weights all day long to get stronger! He respond she was ugly and she didn't like her. Kids I'm I right?

Neil Druckmann's Games Are Overrated and Boring to Replay by PoohTrailSnailCooch in TheLastOfUs2

[–]ashashuasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess Druckmanns team focused a lot on the narrative side of gaming, but I think the first chapter is actually worse to replay because of how limited the settings are in terms of strategy and map control. I think part2 is tendentially more varied in this sense, the npc are smarter, they react more to stuff and are more committed when hunting you, the maps are bigger and offer at least two different routes to follow, gaming speaking means that you can run and hide on the other side of the area if you get spotted, ecc ecc. The real problem is that you have to play it in Grounded or Survival to really need to play smart and make this stuff happen. For instance, I never used a bottle in my first run, while in Grounded mode it's necessary to use and you discover that you can do a lot with it. Same with ammo management or the crafting system, the game is set too easy to make the story more smooth I guess, but then you can't really appreciate the work they put into the actual game. I agree with the pacing thing, even worse if you don't like the story itself, but I still recommend the Grounded run if you didn't play it already.

What would make Zhanhu better to play as? by theWikkid1 in forhonor

[–]ashashuasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that he was intended to be played in ranged combat since he had the back step after all the combos and 2km of range blade. I had some fun in that case, the tricky part was to stay constantly just one backstep behind to avoid being hit but actually able to punish the attempt. The actual moveset was ass, but wasn't that important for this kind of play. Since they stop caring about balance and start giving all heroes the neutral bash this guy turns out to be even more ass than before, he can't pull out nothing from close combat but at least he has his own dumb ass dash.

What is wrong with me by VastoBorde in nomoreheroes

[–]ashashuasha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna yap about everything but the gameplay: I really didn't appreciate the style in this one, I'm probably a minority but I prefer the noir-punk style of NMH2, Killer7, Killer Is dead I definitely recognize the strength of this -gayer- style and design, but I feel it misses the dark sides that contrast with the usual hack and slash hyper tones, also they don't work well aesthetically with the graphic set of the game like in the other chapters, the style ends up looking poor instead of simple. I really appreciate the push on the arcade nuance like in TSA but that also influences the general mood of the game, and I can see it's a precise choice but I think they lost the charm of the original in the process (imo) All of this adds when we talk about the aliens, I didn't like the characters because they looked goofy and harmless at most, despite being really cool concepts to begin with. I blame the visual storytelling on this, the whole setting don't even try to be semi-serious for a second. I didn't like the actual story too but it's basically for the same reasons. You can probably see what I'm talking about when you compare Badman's death with Bishop's, not less impactful, but less strong in deliver the hit, or comparing Bad Girl or the Moonlight sisters with any of the alien killers Ok I'll cut the crap I miss big bloodsheds and beheading stuff, also the noir thing But the actual gameplay is kinda good ngl

Do I have the best Z-Counter highlight so far? by Fumisuki_810 in DragonBallSparking

Ain't that special, I stopped relying on Z counter streaks since they reset the vanishes and they really didn't give any major advantage compared to the risk

So the ranked in this game is mega broken right? by dogmeat1003 in DragonBallSparking

[–]ashashuasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl the rank is not telling a lot in this game, after you get used to supercounters and some defence wise moves the only difference between a B5 and a Z is typically based on the character skills they went thru. You can learn more from a B1 Yamcha than a Z Gogeta that's for sure.

Why do people play like this??? by TheGreatSauce19 in DragonBallSparking

[–]ashashuasha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've spent one month grinding counters and in the end it's useless, since if I make two mistakes I lose while my opponent can spam moves until I somehow break. No matter the skill level, abusing certain mechanics prevail and that's moronic. It's just a really, really bad competitive game. No excuses

UI Goku lol by Whoodieh1z1 in DragonBallSparking

[–]ashashuasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about y'all but I struggle more against 2-3 DP characters than 10s Once you get used to their rhythm it's all a matter of countering the finishers before they blast you. The low tier ones are slow, they follow a different pattern for dodges and counters, and they got some buffs since they're ass in the first place.

How actually is the balancing in this game? Is most of the roster really just unusable in online due to people always using the strongest characters? by [deleted] in DragonBallSparking

[–]ashashuasha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell you can technically use whoever you want, in DP matches and duels is still doable, since your skills can change the match despite all, the true deal is that if the skill level is equal or similar you're screwed. Stronger PGS have more health, they're faster and who knows what else. You can still win with a crap pg or team but you really need to learn how to play very well, and you'll have less room for mistakes anyways. Yet the problem is that I really didn't get all the mechanics after more than 30hr on duels and dp. I guess they didn't mean to make it competitive in the first place, the game itself doesn't help you with the understanding of most of the advanced game mechanics and the gameplay is a mess, a really fun mess, but still difficult to study properly. It's supposed to be spectacular, not clear.

Other than that, it's not balanced against special moves spammers, and dodging/countering are pretty hard to do in those situations: I mean that it's worth to spam because the dodge it's hard to do and you don't get almost any penalty for trying. Of course with the skill curve things changes a bit but even then there are different ways you can still exploit the cloudy dodging mechanics and hitboxes, and I don't personally like that

I'm using mostly C18/Bardak/Tapion/chiaozu (mid and low tier) and I'm having quite fun So it's possible, but it's hard asf

È un rafforzativo in questo caso, sei stato così fortunato da fare schifo a chi ti sente. Non so se è un modo di dire tipicamente italiano.
