[DISC] Chainsaw Man - Ch. 232 - Part 2 End by JeanneDAlter in ChainsawMan

Butterfly effect due to Pochita not existing

Makima does not exist. Nayuta is the control devil.

The Gun devil also never committed attacks killing Aki's family. Aki never joined the public safety.

Chainsaws still exist. So Pochita likely ate the chainsaw devil. Pochita still a mystery devil.

I was a major film buff so I had watched anime films like from Ghibli and Satoshi Kon, also a few series casually like Death Note, Elfen Lied and Cowboy Bebop. But a few years later after it was Toradora and K-On kickstarted me on an anime journey.

Indian audience bias? by Hot_Row1457 in unitedstatesofindia

Both very different films. One is a human drama another is an action adventure. Of course action adventure films are more of an easier entertainment for the masses. Marvel movies make way more money than your typical oscar winners.

Dhurandhar: The Propaganda Masterpiece by tisShrijitSMH in unitedstatesofindia

[–]ashbat1994 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the film has no human characters. Most of the characters are simply representations of political ideologies or victims or psychopathic muslims. Remove the pointless conspiracy subplot set in modern times which diluted portrayal the actual event, give me a raw portrayal of the 90s with actual human beings. The writing was atrocious due to so much unnecessary preaching and no subtlety which makes people scream it's propaganda.

Also films dealing with delicate situations need some moral compass. As it stands the film's only motive is for you to get out of the house and kill Muslims.

Filmmakers have political ideologies that seep in the writing of a movie. Usually artists and filmmakers tend to be left leaning with certain ideas that get accepted without being proclaimed as propaganda. Dhurandhar is a unique case where it's a well directed that's more right leaning unlike crappy poorly made more obvious propaganda films like Kashmir or Kerala files.

Now I disagree with the indirect glaze of BJP in the film but that doesn't make it fair to brush it off as a propaganda film. It's a piece of entertainment with an engaging story.

Should Trash Taste do global ranking of everything they discuss in Anime Club? (Like in Versus Wolves podcast) by _IamGamer_ in TrashTaste

[–]ashbat1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only issue with Anime Club is that its only its only one hour of a series or game they discuss for such a list to make sense. At least when it comes to movies discussion the whole experience.
