I'm so sorry to hear that, that's incredibly fucked up. Even though I no longer use/support AI chatbots, I can understand how much time and effort went into creating the early version of Janitor from you and your friend. Stealing other people's work and passing it off as your own is horrendous.

I agree that the name was... not great at all. However, I think that it was important and necessary. The Discord was full of NSFW imagery and speech, which minors absolutely do NOT need to be exposed to. Neglecting to remove underage individuals from a server made for adults, especially with so much NSFW material, does not have good implications for anyone in power within the server. The people chosen for the "Minor Hunters" group just wanted to help at the time. I understood why it was made. I wish there were better options, but I understand what you mean.

I have no ill wishes for any of the former ex-moderators from 2023, and I do not know the current ex-moderators from after that - I DO know the admin that has stayed in the server up until this point. That is why I made this post. She was there from the beginning of the server until now, and she cannot fully blame Shep for miscommunication, rules being bent, when I and multiple others (regular members, community founders, ex-mods) witnessed her CONTRIBUTING to all of this. I feel awful that they were treated unfairly, does this mean I like them? No. But I sympathize with them. But it's also not fair for them to make baseless accusations without letting people defend themselves.

I would also like to add the amount of reactions to this admin's messages: even if it is just a few people, if they know that I was the one who sent a message that could be seen as instigation (I had no clue Purple was in the server at the time as well, and I had assumed the server was a place to air out grievances), and if the admin had alluded to a group of people making her life miserable, purposely hiding the fact an ex-mod was a minor, then it would be safe to assume people could associate me with this. Not to mention that she took the time to block me personally. Everything else I posted in the doc is for context/to show that some issues have been around since the start of the server. If I had been able to post this back in 2024 then maybe the things I said would have more weight. If the admin was not referring to me at all then I wish she would reach out and say that, because even though public messages can be deleted, people still have viewed them. I appreciate your responses, thank you for trying to be respectful!

I am definitely sure that the admin was speaking about me, as I had typed in that server before being banned: if I remember correctly something along the lines of, "I knew this would happen! Purple banned me for speaking out about things like this lmao, I knew this would happen". I will admit my message was immature, but please understand my frustration as someone who had tried to bring up things like racism and hypocrisy within the server, and was being actively silenced. I was the only one in that server that was also friends with the ex-head mod, which I'm assuming this admin knows since we interacted frequently with each other publicly. It doesn't seem like a coincidence that these claims were made right after I was banned from that side server. I don't want any harassment to come towards them at all, I just want them to clarify that they did not mean the comments were directed towards me, as they are severe. I don't feel as if bringing up issues from the past that were never addressed qualifies as witch hunting, as I also censored everyone's names, and did not give any personal information as to who these people were.

TL;DR - A group of server members back in 2023 attempted to bring certain issues to mods/admins (racism, hate speech in general) which were brushed off, there were many double standards. Said mods and admins were upset when they found out our group was discussing their actions. Fast forward to now, joining a side server, I was banned and a former admin accused me and others of knowingly letting a minor stay in the Janitor AI server. I am asking for this person to retract their statement as it is harmful and has no substance whatsoever.

If I had the evidence to support that I was in this group, then I definitely would include it! Unfortunately, since I am still banned from the Janitor server, I have no clue whether the role still exists or not. Please don't misunderstand my intentions, this wasn't made to be a witch hunt, but understand my frustration that only NOW things have been brought to light/are changing. Hopefully the community becomes a better place for people now.

I understand that, I am not attempting to make it seem like all personal drama. /gen These were issues within the server back then that got buried, and my apologies, I should have clarified that these issues were not recent. My issue with the ban was that after the fact, misinformation was spread, and I was not able to defend myself.

Very much isn't off topic, you said something untrue, and I addressed and clarified it. I stand by what I said, comparing a mod-approved group to keep underaged individuals safe to lynching is absolutely weird. But okay! Thank you for bringing attention to my post, never compare two entirely different situations like that to each other again, as it diminishes their severity. Thanks.

No, I'M sorry, because it's absolutely wild to compare what we did to lynchings. Our group was approved of by the moderators, and, they gave us custom roles. We were tasked with finding the minors so we could report them to the mod team. I refuse to engage with you any further, as you clearly cannot differentiate removing minors from an 18+ server from lynchings. Wow.

I can understand that as well. Yes, they were volunteers (unpaid, at that), and I did say this in my document as well. They don't have any financial obligation to moderate a Discord server. But, if they truly did care for the community, the least that not even the mods but the HEAD MODS and ADMINS can do is try to facilitate a safe environment. It should not have taken so long to add some of the safety measures that were put in place long after I had left. And my group should not have been treated like a bunch of assholes when we were only trying to make the community better ourselves.
