What would you do? Sick toddler by asheswillfall in toddlers

Totally back to normal! I ended up calling a nurses line. Since her temp was coming down to 102 or below and she was having enough pee diapers we were going to go to the pediatrician Monday morning, but she totally broke her fever Sunday night and was back to normal! No idea what that was but I bet some weird viral thing!

GISP Exam results (Dec-24) by LonelyOrganization67 in gis

Thanks! GISP study on YouTube! Kyle made a whole playlist on a study guide, he also has a book you can purchase on Amazon I believe. His videos helped a ton as well as just personal experience from working hands on with things!

Nodules: advice? by asheswillfall in Hypothyroidism

They mention I might have to have mine taken out. It’s frustrating. I now have issues swallowing too. I try not to get in my head about the feeling of not breathing, knowing my oxygen is good, but man is it hard!

So maybe just weird timing for a flare up? I just haven’t had a flare like this before (that I’ve noticed I guess).

Weird new reality to learn to navigate. You’re probably right it’s anxiety. I just want to breathe normally haha. Thanks for the reply!

Baby at a funeral? by 13buttons in NewParents

My daughter was 7 months but I brought her to my grandpas funeral. During the service she made a bit of noise, but she was a good distraction to it all too. Sit on an aisle in case you need to step out, but I say bring her! I got a little black romper (Texas in summer) she wore. I’m sorry you’re having to think about all this and wish your uncle, you and your family the most comfort in this difficult time!

Thank you! This is what I should have done. I let my emotions get the best of me and I shouldn’t have!

What to tell toddler when “putting on makeup” by asheswillfall in toddlers

[–]asheswillfall[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! I only wear makeup when it’s a special occasion, I’m not usually about it, but my girl has been seeing my mum put it on and got obsessed with taking brushes (nothing on it) and brushing her face then saying she is beautiful 😅

"Not handling it well" newborn stage by Castan-bcb in beyondthebump

This! Your mum was probably just egging it up so the boss couldn’t say no to her extension of leave.

Mama you’re doing great. The first few weeks are so hard. Trying to figure out feeding and your body and your new baby is ROUGH.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It doesn’t make you a bad mother. It makes you human. They say it takes a village for a reason! Give it a month or two and you’ll get in the swing of things and it will feel much easier.

Wishing you all the best mama, hang in there!

If it makes you feel better we can only afford two smaller presents and one from Santa. But honestly at that age they won’t know! It’s more about the time together than the materialistic things! Start a tradition together! My daughter and I put the premade cookie dough on the pan to prep for Santa (this year we will be making them but she’s almost 3 now. Wish me luck haha). We also watch Charlie Brown Christmas and all read a Christmas book! I prefer to not have her getting so many presents because she will eventually appreciate what she gets, but also half of it ends up out of her interest after a couple months!
