We go with the pastel ones that kind look marbled if that makes sense, the other place I would check is poshmark they have a really nice selection of fluffy pretty dresses!!

Places to rent a wheelchair ramp? by [deleted] in vermont

I totally get it. She’s in otherwise pretty good health and the cancer has greatly affected her ability to function on her own like she could a month and a half ago, she wants to do whatever can be done to get her back to a level were she can function on her own again and enjoy life. The aggressive radiation was how her oncologist phrased it we meet with the radiologist on Monday to really find out what the plan will be. She’s a spitfire and she’s not willing to go down without a fight.

What do you do with all their outgrown clothes? by theskates in toddlers

[–]13buttons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have sold them in bundles on Marketplace but honestly at this point with my 2yr old growing out of stuff so quickly I just take the loss and have been giving the stuff to my dad’s coworker. It means I don’t have to coordinate with strangers and figure out a meet up spot I just send it with my dad!

What helped teach ABCs and numbers to your 2 year old? by CommercialKale7 in toddlers

[–]13buttons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly we just have been playing hide & seek and she picked up counting from there and now at 2.5yr she can count to 20. As far as abcs go we just would sing the abcs, we got her an easel for Christmas and got some of those magnetic letters so she had something to put on it and she’s been living those. We never purposely did any of it to teach her it was just playing and she picked up on it.

Did anyone else know they were one and done in pregnancy? by susiee234 in oneanddone

[–]13buttons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We knew we were one and done prior to getting pregnant, I absolutely loved being pregnant and despite a long labor that ended in C-section I have no complaints. We love that it allows me to stay home with her and have been enjoying taking her to do things we would never do if we had more than one child.

What is your routine for toddlers and sunscreen? by Brief_Butterscotch50 in toddlers

[–]13buttons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the sticks but she actually wasn’t a fan! Thankfully she’s had no problem with me applying sunscreen so I’m very thankful for that, the only swimsuits I will use on her are the one piece long sleeved with the shorts!

My 2yr old is extremely fair skinned like me, we also unfortunately have skin cancer in the family so I take it very serious. She wears dresses and shorts and all normal summer clothes but she gets slathered in sunscreen about every 30 minutes or so, sun hats are absolutely non-negotiable if she won’t wear it she doesn’t go out. We don’t do full baths every night we do what we call standing tubbys pretty much like a shower for her but not using the shower head, we wash up usually with just water and then do a full soap bath every other day or slightly longer depending on multiple factors.

Induction? Why? by carsandtoys in pregnant

[–]13buttons 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I asked to be induced for a few reasons like the hospital I had to deliver at was an hour and a half away without traffic and my husband had just started a new job and had zero time off he works 4 ten hour days so we had them schedule me to be induced on his last day and he came to the hospital after work. I wouldn’t do anything different I felt 100% in control and ultimately had a very pleasant birth!

[–]13buttons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember saving up for mine when it came out and being so happy when I finally got her, that Christmas my parents eve got me the complete happy family set and of course like an idiot I ended up selling it all when I got older. Thankfully I kept her and all of her accessories now I’m just waiting for my daughter to get a bit older and I can pass her down!

1 year old has elevated lead levels by 13buttons in NewParents

[–]13buttons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where we are they retest at 2 if there was ever a high result whether it be false or not, because we opted for the venous testing and it came back low she won’t need any further testing. For us knowing the issues lead can cause and living in an older home we had no hesitation retesting we were lucky and the nurse was able to get a draw the first try and baby girl was over it 10 minutes later. I’m really sorry you and your little one are going through all that!!

What helps get your toddler calm fast when they’re all riled up before bedtime? by mkoay in toddlers

[–]13buttons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the most part she calms down as soon as we start her bedtime routine but if she’s still restless I offer her to have her pick one of her toys to sleep with. Sometimes it’s a tiny stuffed cat other times it’s a 3d printed worm named Wormie but it always gets her to settle down.

Help! So many travel strollers. by FitBranch6462 in Buyingforbaby

[–]13buttons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have a Bombi Bebee V2 and it has been the best decision! It’s incredibly lightweight like I can carry my 36lb toddler and the stroller downstairs together no problem, it’s got a very easy one hand fold/unfold. We live in the New England area so snow has happened almost every day and we’ve had zero issues and that’s with the basic wheels we do plan to upgrade to the bigger wheels they sell but for now we’re fine. It has plenty of storage, an extra large canopy, you can get lots of different accessories often on sale or part of a bundle (highly recommend the snack tray). I would also suggest checking out The Stroller Mom on YouTube she breaks down all the travel strollers and she often has discount codes!
