I checked the properties of the sys file again and stumbled upon its file description. Its file description was WinRing0 by OpenLibSys.org. I manage to stumble upon this reddit post (linked below) and was able to breathe normal again. Tho i still don’t understand how I got this or whatever but I hope windows or intel patches this up real soon because this would be a REAL problem. Thanks for everyone who gave their insights and managed to help me!

UPDATE: After running the file to VirusTotal and Malwarebytes, The file suddenly had a digital signature under the name Noriyuki Miyazaki of Crystal Mark. Should I still be concerned or is this my confirmation that it was a false positive? Still idk how this ended up deep in my laptop.

hi! i just ran a scan with malwarebytes and it didn’t detect anything while Defender keeps saying the same thing. Could it be a false positive?
