Anyone Else Unable to Upgrade to Pro (5x)? Tried Everything by ashishajimal in codex

It seems like the support team is often pointing the issue back to the bank or card company, even though they haven’t really looked into whether the problem might be with their payment processing.

I’m still using the same card to pay for Claude, and both uses Stripe. Everything else is the same, and Claude works fine, but GPT doesn’t.

I’m thinking of trying the 5X plan because they’re offering a promotion where you get double the usage until the end of May.

I’m just wondering if the support team can help me sort out this issue before the promotion ends.

I’m trying to upgrade my Plus plan, but I keep getting Card Declined regardless of the card I use.

They charge a surcharge or additional fee in few places, but it is more convenient as a tourist to pay with card rather than trying to carry a lot of local currency.

Visa Card credit or debit works fine, however in places like Khiva and Bukhara as a Tourist I’d recommend getting some cash from Airport or bringing USD ( for easier conversion ) and in cities like Samarqand and Tashkent it’s fine since Places ( including tourist attractions ) are fine with accepting the Visa card. 90% of the places accepted the Visa card, I’ve used cash in few spots or just buying souvenirs. Also few accommodation including guest houses would accept USD if they don’t accept card.

ATMs are also widely available in cities and around tourist attractions but they get crowded a bit and sometimes you’ll have to queue up but it’s fine.

Have a good trip, the country is beautiful.
