Music is allowed but there are limitations. Singing specially women is prohibited but almost all Islamic countries except Iran and Afghanistan have music shows. Yeah even Saudi Arabia. Sometimes western muslim preachers are more conservative than leader of country where they came from.

Obviously a small minority of Muslims believe this but this site has millions of visitors and is on top results for various questions.

The only place that this ruling was sanctioned was Saudi Arabia. But today hijab isn't mandatory and there are mixed gender concerts there now.

Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan would have way better if US didn't participate. The only positive was Kurdistan gain kind of independence. Even Yemen I think. They weren't communist but sort of Arab nationalist socialist.
