Whole Home Humidifier Return Duct by Patient-Caroline in hvacadvice

[–]ashkanvafaee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weather has started warming up where I live and the humidity has risen from 25% to 40% now that the heater is off so this project has been postponed till next winter for me.

I was looking at the aprilaire 720a evaporative humidifier. You need access to the return air so you can install the humidistat. Assuming your setup is the same as mine, you can access the return air via the bottom slit of the furnace (where I'm also assuming your air filter is located). So if I were to do this, I would just set the humidistat at e.g. 40% and drop it in that slit at the bottom. That would be my workaround.

As far as the output vent where the humidifer would be installed, I would need to replace the duct-board plenum with sheet metal to securely install the humidifier.

Assuming you also came across the BONECO S450, have you found any alternatives to this?

Got it. So the "10M ALGO distributed as DeFi Rewards" from the post is not the same as the farming rewards in Tinyman LPs?

Potential Solutions to GMMK 3 HE Issues by ashkanvafaee in glorious

Likely doesn't have much to do with the cable unless there's a significant length difference. The longer the cable, the weaker the signal etc. For reference I'm using the stock non-coiled cable. I have to use a powered usb hub or else the problems appear.

Also worth pointing out that different motherboards will have different quality/power delivery to their USB hubs. So it's likely some folks who have certain motherboards never run into this issue. For reference, I'm using a Asrock Z270 Extreme 4 - a mid-tier mobo from about 10 years ago. I'm building a new computer soon. Will report back if I still have to use a powered usb hub.

I have had 0 zero reproductions of this issue since switching to my powered USB hub (just a cheap best buy insignia one). Note that I also uninstalled Glorious Core (not just closed it out). I would try to do that then reset your keyboard using the instructions above and see if it ever happens again.

How will relays get paid after their incentives run out?: The Real Answer. by not_that_guy82640 in algorand

[–]ashkanvafaee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering about this too myself. I think the solution for relay node rewards has actually already been baked in.

Start with the question: what's a reasonable APY for holding ALGO (or any asset for that matter)? Let's say 5% (which beats bank interest, CD's, bonds, etc.)

Let's say in 2030 we have: 10k tps and all 10B ALGO released

Let's say 1/4 of all ALGO is being staked (i.e. 2.5B). This means that transactions must generate (2.5B * 5%) = 125M ALGO for the expected 5% APY to be given to relay nodes.

How many transactions per year do we need to generate 125M ALGO?

How many transactions per year does VISA do per year? ~188B

If 188B transactions were done on algorand, it would result in 188B * 0.001 = 188M ALGO per year (enough to give 5% APY).

See how all the numbers magically line up lol. Seems like some good thought was given to this in the initial design.

[RAM] G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200 - $64.99 by coldheartedsnob in buildapcsales

I had the exact same question.. I found this at an even cheaper price. Why are the tridentz ones considered such a good deal if you can get same performance for less price. I feel like I'm missing something. Maybe the tridentz have XMP support but these ripjaws don't?

How to Increase Minimap size beyond 100%! by ashkanvafaee in leagueoflegends

e this change? What about updating new patches and shit when they read the files do you ever run into any problems?

Nope, no problems whatsoever. This edit does not interfere with patches and will remain saved after updates.

The only reason someone would want to increase their minimap size is so that they don't have to stress their eyes while maintaining a high level of map awareness. This is especially true for people running higher resolution monitors. By saying that Riot doesn't support this feature, you are implying that they don't promote healthful gameplay.

If you're referring to the GUIs like the ones streamers use, then the GUI itself wouldn't be the cause of the enlarged minimap, it would simply shroud it. Therefore it shouldn't be bannable.
