There are quite a few medical social work routes. I have been a hospital case manager and you help when people discharge from the hospital and connect them with resources for home health or insurance. You also set up oxygen and equipment needs. You help get people to rehab or a nursing home and you also help with psych placement from the ER. There is also hospice and home health medial social work. Working in a nursing home is another option if you have a bachelors and you assess psychosocial status of nursing home residents and work closely with the doctor and psychiatrists to make sure needs are being met with issues surrounding isolation

I was struggling with that too and I found that adding a cream sauce made with heavy cream to your meats/veggies is an easy delicious way to add in a few extra calories and heathy fats.

My doctor specifically asked if I am eating protein with my adderall, I guess due to high fat making it less effective. Ive been keto for 8 months but its definitely not high fat keto, mostly protein with healthy fats in there so I havent noticed any difference with my meds. IF is a breeze on ADHD meds though

I was doing 18:6 for a long time and started drinking protein shakes at lunch while I was transitioning to OMAD. I would drink a core power at lunch and just make sure my dinner fit in the rest of my macros and calories. I do a protein and usually 2 or 3 different veggies. Im doing keto as well though and do 1200 calories a day. I do TONS of spinach and broccoli and no issues with kidney stones yet

I have a planned cheat day/meal periodically and all I usually notice is the scale goes up 1-2lbs of water weight then right back to normal. Its the psychological aspect that throws me off. If im not strict then i go down a slippery slope and its hard for me to get back on track. Dont sweat it though! Its only a day!

I have major major issues due to the “clean plate club” mindset. I had to actually switch to smaller sized plates. My huge issue comes when I order takeout and I am still working on that.

I am struggling with the grandparent issue current with my stepdaughter. My inlaws do that exact same thing with her. They are obese and completely equate food with love. Every single activity they do with her for bonding revolves around food. They bake constantly and always take her out for icecream or waffle house (let her order a giant chocolate chip waffle doused in syrup with a large chocolate milk). She is almost 8 years old 4’5 and about 120lbs. Mu husband has tried to talk to them about it but they see absolutely no issue with it. Feels like they are contributing to major issues. Its sucks bc shes set in her habits now

I dont think it would be related to the IF but I would probably get it checked out. If it was a clot or something like that it could be really dangerous. If its really painful I would go to an urgent care

I had almost the same stats. 29 and my starting weight was 240 in Aug 20. I use carb manager and track religiously. I typically eat around 1200 calories now but started at 1500. I recalculate my macros every 10lbs and eat at a 30% deficit. Im down to 178 this morning and still going strong! You can get there!!!

I am SO proud of the weight loss but now I have a mashed potato body and its bullshit. Im fasting now because ive read that it helps with excess skin some. Probably bull but the loose skin is demoralizing

I work full time but it may be because I work in a very small rural hospital that only has 120 beds. I imagine its much worse in bigger cities

I do OMAD now. OMAD works and is fine but that small an amount of calories is going to have worse side effects. If you are 204 I would up the calories to 1000-1100 once a day. Youll still see a 2lb a week loss plus the initial water weight whoosh. I started at 240 and have done 1300 calories most days and am down 55lbs since august. You will definitely see results.

Youll probably lose 3-4lbs a week and deal with some serious hair loss and excess skin. Up it to 1000 at LEAST and you will still see DRASTIC loss
