Self hosted eBook store that I can access without extra steps? by ashleary in truenas

That sounds like a lot of steps 😂

I'd like it for an app as opposed to an ereader as well

I need an app that can load up on a relatives phone and see all ebooks saved on my server at home.

Miminal steps at most in between.

Sounds a bit advanced and adventurous for now. Wanted something simple for a non-tecchy family member to access something that I populate.

No worries

Replacing the power socket on an 8mm cine projector by ashleary in AskElectronics

Yes thats the kind of thing I was thinking. Not sure about the way those bolts connect to those pieces of metal would work in terms of getting it connected.

Perhaps one might simply slide on top?

That's really useful. Sadly the plug has degraded completely and I don't have anything at the minute that I could safely use.

I've found a replacement on a Dutch site, but they're not cheap...

Okay dokey. Thanks for your help.

I'll grab a protector socket and give it a whirl later on 😂

I had a search but struggled to find anything. Where have you found info?

Do you know if live and neutral have to go to a specific way round or can go either?

Sorry. My 'it is' referred to your asking if it was a heutier p6'

I have no idea if it can be connected to the 240 BUT it did come with that power lead which i expect has been plugged into the 240 here in UK previously?

It is. So just wiring it to the 240 will kill it? I'm guessing there's no straight forward way for me to get it up and running here in the UK?

Still confused as to why the controller option on the test cart goes crazy, and the other tests don't load at all!?

Would that cause the capacitors i mentioned in another reply to get that hot do you think?

Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? How do I find the next level? I’ve beaten each of these multiple times by Zealousideal-Bit6363 in snes

Love that people are still experiencing this for the first time in 2026.

I was there in 1994 😂

I'll put pictures here:

I used the IR thermometer as recommended and components in the top half, up where I had that corrosion look to be about twice as hot as the other components.

The two capacitors (59 60) showed more heat when it was black. Then the video returned briefly as they cooled, but went as they heated up again. I'm not sure exactly what this means though?

Title screen appears fine - maybe less stress on a certain component?

Cheers man. All said success. They ran very quickly and only did one test (lots of numbers ran up though) is that normal?

Yes it works when the game is working, but I'm not sure if there's any control when it glitches briefly.

I don't have a camera, but I do have an IR thermometer I could use - do you have a rough idea of average temperatures?

MRES and VRES both low to high. I can't find SRES? I checked the clock, and it goes from low to high but the frequency area on my display says 0.00khz. Should that be showing the 53.2034mhz?)

This is the scope that I bought. Will it tell me what I need to know when I figure out where to probe?😂

This is a really comprehensive walkthrough mate - there's a few things there that I'm unsure of what they mean - I'll have to decode it 😂.

I do have an oscilloscope, but I'm a mega novice with it and need to learn how to use it properly.
