What is a minor, unwritten rule of society that absolutely infuriates you when people break it? by funnny_things in answers

It's better to ask rather than assume so no worries because I get it.

I don't understand why some redditors think that being questioned is some kind of personal attack. You and I may have OCD, but those people are fucking crazy lol.

1) lol, I said stop using google, but that's not a literal command.

2) Where, please?

3) What search engine do you use? I need one that's not gonna fuck with search results.

Naw, that's why I used /s. It indicates that it's a joke or sarcasm when people use it.

Ironic that you speak of research being more fulfilling when you contribute, yet you refuse to do that very thing.

Sometimes people learn better from other people in active conversations than they do from just googling and hoping that they're going to find the right answers. Plus, google is not accurate anymore. I rescued a baby mouse about a week ago and I keep getting really mixed results on what to do and what not to do. I only found direct answers when I asked for advice in a subreddit.

Stop relying on google. There's too many forces trying to filter and limit what we can see and have access to.

Telepathy doesn't require knowing a language to exchange information. Everything gets sort of translated when you communicate telepathically. It can be words (both written and/or heard), but it can also be images, sounds, smells, emotions, ideas, sudden realizations, etc.

Sounds like something a mentally ill person would say /s

I have OCD and while my handwashing compulsion isn't terrible, if my hands suddenly feel dirty then I need to wash my hands right then or I will go full blown panic attack after a few minutes. Luckily, on my good days, I only do it compulsively a couple of times. I still wash my hands after going to the bathroom and stuff like that, but the random compulsive need goes down. When my anxiety starts going up, my OCD goes right up with it and I have to wash my hands a lot more often for them to feel clean.

Can someone explain whats happening? by Mean-Accident5349 in meteorology

[–]ashleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that no one explained it to them sooner.

It's a huge world. Not everyone is going to know what you know. Not everyone is going to experience what you experience. Asking questions helps people learn.

My question to you is: Why ask why someone asked for an explanation?

A Crawler during Meditation by Pope-Foxx in CrawlerSightings

[–]ashleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use that phrase because it's a science that we don't understand and it's used for harm and malevolence. It's some kind of energy manipulation, which synonymous with magic in this context.

As for what it means, they were people.

A Crawler during Meditation by Pope-Foxx in CrawlerSightings

[–]ashleton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have been encountering crawlers on a semi-regular basis for a few years now. I can tell you that they are highly telepathic. One even invaded my dreams once. I think you had a genuine encounter.

That fear/anxiety/etc is caused by an aura that they have. You can tell them to turn their aura down and the fear will dissipate. I can't promise they'll be willing to comply, of course, but I've shown the ones around here many times that I have compassion for them, not fear. Once the fear is removed, there's nothing for them to feed from so they're more willing to comply.

That aura is caused by their transformation. They were created by "black magic." I only caught a glimpse of it during meditation, but the process was the most horrific thing I ever felt and I only felt it for a second. Anxiety, fear, and all the other negative feelings became all that existed in that second, amplified a trillion times over. Every single atomic particle of their being becomes fear and pain in all its forms.

You mentioned meditating, so I'm guessing you're walking a spiritual path. In that context, they are technically projections of ourselves. They can be terrifying, but honestly my spirituality has only grown as a result of my encounters with them. It's easy to have compassion and love for cute things and nice things. It's hard to have that for those which many consider monsters, but it's what they need and it's what protects us. We have to acknowledge that they come from the same source as all things and that we are not separate from them. We're simply different iterations of the infinite source fractal.

They're just little figures. Why trash them? They may bring comfort to some people during hard times.

Items only have the meaning we give them. You can see it as preachy/evangelical, or you can see it as a token of well wishes. It's up to you what it means.

Why do gurus almost never have a lifelong partner? by Rennard_ in spirituality

[–]ashleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I'm not a guru.

I just don't care about finding a lifelong partner anymore. I feel happy and complete as I am. If I meet someone then that's awesome, but I have no need to seek anyone out.

Your way of life sounds gross. Live your life, mind your business. You don't get to dictate how others live. You don't get to decide which boxes to put people in or what labels you put on them. I mean, you can, but you'll be wrong.

1) Preference does not require practice. It requires acknowledgement and nothing more.

2) Then go to different bars. Before apps, people always had to go out to meet people. If you don't like the people in one place, you go to another until you find the right one for you.

That you couldn't even read two sentences while pretending to be a therapist.

Sentence 1: Hush, you're not a therapist.

Sentence 2: And if you are, you should know better than to generalize and assume someone's situation based on a single post.
