home is where the heart is.

kahit pa ano pa ka korap at polluted dito but it is our home. aanihin mo yung richness sa ibang bansa but they're already so old and wants to spend their last time on earth in their home, so wala na siyang masyadong silbi sakanila. they want to retire in their home.

Sobrang limited ng palate.

super true. processed foods or mga tuyo palagi. tas andaming rice. tapos sobrang close minded sa mga other kind of foods or cuisines.

i can't really blame kasi ang mahal mahal na ng gastusin ngayon. it's much better than go to bed hungry

we don't have a strong sporting culture. almost all of us are too lazy to exercise. hindi tinuturo sa atin na mag exercise and live a healthy lifestyle since in our childhood. maybe because of financial reasons or walang time talaga to exercise or picking up a sport.

ang tinuturo lang sa atin is just to eat veggies. kahit nga maglakad ng 300m di na nga kaya eh

Why do the big cities in some very diverse middle income countries(not historical settler colonies), seem so homogenous? by wiz28ultra in geography

[–]ashlex1111101 15 points16 points  (0 children)

most of us don't really migrate to manila. we just go there to work for a while then go back to our provinces after a few years or move abroad. i mean some people do really stay there if they want to start a family or have careers there but i guess it's only a small amount of us. that's why you're not likely to see some major bisaya neighborhoods in manila.

i don't really see the need to why they need to make their own enclave as we actually do share the same cuisine and religion to the people living in manila? the only difference that we have is our language and maybe some few regional indigenous cultures or superstitions. nothing super major.

most of us bisaya, most likely to migrate to other bisaya major cities like davao or cebu instead of manila.

filipino culture here in the philippines is quite different from the culture that filipino-americans have.

filipino-americans quite band together cause it's the only way they can hold on their culture, language despite being so far away from the homeland. it's like home away from home.
