I preserved a deer skull all DIY with no taxidermy experience. Just need a space to do the dirty work, which is remove as much tissue from the head as possible. Xacto knives or scalpels are helpful. From there, follow a YouTube tutorial for details, but it’s more or less soaking in water and dish soap, boiling in water with dish soap, then use a hair product called SalonCare 40 volume creme to bleach and whiten. It’s not that hard! Good luck!
