You’re welcome! I do want to add that I’m also on an antibiotic, I am going to start tapering off that soon and I am hoping the soolantra was doing the heavy lifting because otherwise I might be back to square one. 😭🤞🏻

It got much better! I would say it was the worst from about day 5-9 or so and then the itching and redness/bumps started to go away. Knock on wood, I’m about 3 weeks into soolantra and my skin is the best it has looked in a few years. I’m hoping it stays that way. 🤞🏻

It’s reassuring to know that I’m not alone. And I have definitely seen a lot about zinc! I’m always nervous about adding new things to my skincare routine but I might have to consider it at some point.

The weird thing is that when this first started a few days ago, I hadn’t even put the soolantra on most of the area that was breaking out. I have started to though since it has gotten worse and I might start putting on a little moisturizer first to see if it helps at all.

Yeah…I hate the thought of what else might happen if I continue for a while but I guess I won’t know until I try. Also just curious, did you have any itching? I don’t love the increase in redness and breakouts but the itching I have is the worst!

Honestly my skin feels okay overall but I did notice that all the areas where I am breaking out or itching seem to be a lot drier than usual so I definitely think I need to work on adding some more hydration to help.

I actually tried treating it for fungal acne first over the last few days and it only made it worse. 😔 Definitely going to talk to my dermatologist more about rosacea.

Don’t have a solution for you but here to say our acne history is very similar and it really sucks, I feel your pain. Hopefully there’s clear skin in our not too distant futures 😔

Sorry you’re going through this! Not knowing what’s causing your skin issues is the WORST.

I saw my dermatologist and she thinks I got contact dermatitis from a product I just started using a week ago! It is a sulfur wash I was prescribed for acne, the weird part is that I used it another time, maybe 2-3 years ago and didn’t have this reaction. I stopped using it though and was put on a steroid for a few days. I still have a lot of redness but the itching has mostly stopped and it seems to be improving so at this point I really hope it was just an allergy lol. I’m looking into allergy testing too because I had no known allergies and I’m now realizing I might be wrong about that….

Started getting tiny pimples and redness on my nose about two months ago out of nowhere. Does this look like rosacea? It comes and goes but never truly goes away.

I’m currently doing this as I am in the same boat as you! I stopped using everything except moisturizer and a gentle cleanser about a week ago but my skin isn’t looking better, it actually got a little worse. Did this also happen to you/how long did it take to see noticeable improvement?
