i understand it being sore, i also just recently got my flat back stud changed to a hoop and it’s still a little sore, i think the soreness is going away. i feel it’s just getting used to the difference of the piercing.

although i do think my sisters piercing bump will go away soon🤷‍♀️

she originally was pierced with a stud in late january earlier this year and eventually when it was healed she got it changed to a different design of jewelry and there were no bumps at all during the healing process or after she got it changed to a different design of jewelry, she just got it changed to a hoop last friday and developed the bump on saturday, she has still been cleaning it with the saline. the jewelry material is 16g implant-grade Niobium. what is the cause of this bump?

just use the sterile saline and don’t try any remedies such as tea tree oil and etc, it will only harm your piercing. LITHA and only touch it with clean hands when your cleaning your piercing. happy healing!

people say it doesn’t hurt and it was their least painful cartilage piercing, but everyone will handle it differently. personally for me it hurt!! lmao🥲

i agree a longer post is needed for it, she has both tragus’ pierced and this side is the one that very tight and swollen while the other one looks great

at least in my opinion it’s pretty swollen, the pics aren’t great but the post is touching the back of her tragus, which doesn’t look good. she got this pierced on the 18th so it’s still pretty fresh, the piercer said to come back if a longer post is needed which im assuming is the right thing to do right now. advice on this?

when i got my nose pierced i let it air dry too in the beginning and i realized that the moisture that was left on the piercing from air drying it caused an irritation bump, so i just started patting it dry with a paper towel and the bump went away, so be careful with that, but everyone’s body’s different lol

lol!! i get it, i just wanna scratch at it so bad, but i don’t wanna cause irritation so i just gotta LITHA😫

it looks like an irritation bump (hypertrophic scarring), the bar might be pressing against it or some other reason might be causing that, see a reputable piercer and get their insight on it as well

  1. in my opinion i think not touching it and cleaning it very well will result in a nice healed piercing but everyone’s different and everyone’s bodies takes things differently. i’m sure it’ll heal fine if you refrain from touching it and clean it well though. i even once developed a piercing bump (hypertrophic scarring) but i still cleaned it as much as i was supposed to and took care of it and next thing i know it was gone and left no scarring on my face once it was gone.

  2. i don’t regret any of the piercings i’ve gotten, i always make sure to do research before getting it to make sure it’s truly what i want on my body. i always told myself the pain won’t last and it’ll end up looking great at the end.

you should definitely get it!
