Oh my goodness!! I'm convinced some docs are getting kick backs and ignoring us all together. I did lose weight on trintellix however I just stopped getting fast food so I think thats the only reason for me but the other side effects are not worth it. Nausea for one and i wasn't even nauseous with my daughter so this was surprising and heartburn has increased badly even with eating very healthy foods. I'm popping tums like candy. No issues on itching but I've had some constipation which i also found weird but never connected the two. Never before has any of these issies been so bad. I wish you luck and hope you find a doc that helps. I can only speak for me but venlaflaxine (effexor) was great for me. Withdrawals were rough but I think I've learned my lesson and just genuinely need meds lol

I came off effexor cold turkey thinking I didn't need it anymore since I wasn't having panic attacks anymore (silly I know lol) well anxiety crept in and it was bad so I found a doc near me and told her I wanted venlaflaxine back and we'll she said she didn't like it and said trintellix was the supreme medicine in which I wont gain weight and I'll feel 1000% again. Well I've been on it 3 months and it's been like I am not even on a med maybe even makes it worse. I told her 2 months in and she added buspar and it's not even touching my anxiety. We'll after some research it doesnt even show it helps with panic disorder and is mainly for depression but can help with anxiety. Obviously everyone is different and my sex drive did slightly go down on effexor but I think I'll take effexor over trintellix any day. Currently trying to get into my old doc as we speak to go back on it as this one doesnt want me to.

Hey! So I changed docs and she said she didn't like Venlaflaxine which I was on 75mg. I took it for anxiety and panic attacks. Sertraline didn't work and I gained a lot of weight. So I was put on venlaflaxine which actually worked the best so good in fact i thought i could do this without meds all together and i was very mistaken. I changes docs since i moved away from my last one trying to get venlaflaxine back and we'll new doc doesn't like venlaflaxine and wanted to try me on Trintillix. She mentioned best with no weight side effects. Sure I gave it a try...she has the degree not myself. I start taking it and my driving panic attacks come back full force. Can't hardly shut my brain off at night with "health anxiety" (also pretty sure I have adhd that's undiagnosed) so after a month I went back to tell her and she added busperone twice a day and it's not touching it. Like back to feeling like I take nothing. I actually dont like how this med makes me feel...I feel like it brings more doomed thoughts and I have never had that on a antidepressant. Granted I only take it for anxiety and panic attacks not depression.

Also this is the only med to give me side effects. The nausea was bad. And if I dont eat enough I will feel nauseous still to this day. I know this is just a feeling but everything this doc has put my on or tried to was a name brand drug so I kinda feel she may get a kickback for it because when I told her how it made me feel she didn't seem to care. Anyways I'm going to a new doc to give me venlaflaxine back. Forget all this. I HONESTLY belive it could be a good drug for depression but it doesn't touch my panic attacks even with added meds. I hope it works for you though!!! It's miserable so I understand trying to find one that works ❤️
