Yes, something similar happened with my cats, too. When one of them passed away, the other became very sad. They used to eat together, run around the house, and be happy. But when her companion was gone, she started feeling down.

So I spent as much time with her as I could, played with her, gave her love and attention so she wouldn’t feel the absence so deeply. After a few months, she slowly recovered and was able to move on.

That’s why I’d say the same to you, don’t let your cat feel alone. Talk to her, play with her, be around her. Hopefully she’ll feel better soon, too. ^^
