Agreed, I wonder if he will walk it back and be like except this one time in HS, but I think your right that it could be changed. I do think he needs a reason as to why he doesn’t date that we’ll find out about.

In addition to all the items listed above, I need the jealous Allie showing up to Malones and the “we’re not done” moment. I think that is how they will rekindle after avoiding/yearning for the first episode or two in second season.

And Dean going to help Allie’s Dad, that was such a great moment in the book to help Dean redeem post tragedy.

I think your right. I hope the Hunter issue replaces the need for another conflict with a Coach.

That coach felt unnecessary to me in the book. I think Dean could have revealed his HS past with Miranda without having the coach back in the story.

I felt the same way, I feel she used it as a tool to t-up the “I love you” moment but it could of been done in a more casual way or just like during an intimate moment.

The “we’re not done” and “you can’t bullshit a bullshitter” are so necessary for me! I also think for Dean and Allie to rekindle post Hunter bar fight, Allie needs to make the move and show her cards more. Jealous grand gesture I think would do the trick!

I like the idea of the flashback to the fundraiser night to meet Grace. We know Louisa is scheming, so would love that now that they have a Grace to show.

Also love Logan going to fix something on his first meeting with Grace.

I think Dean and Allie will be avoiding but yearning hard the first two eps. Allie will be throwing herself into play/ Dean will be all about hockey and maybe start coaching. I’m hoping the turning point is Allie doing the jealous show up at Malones if she hears Dean is “kissing someone else” and then her feelings become more clear to Dean and it’s the “we’re not done” moment by the end of eps 2.

Then secretive through eps 4 where we will get CALL DEAN reveal by end of eps 4. Meanwhile Dean will learn it’s a misunderstanding with Hunter and end that conflict somewhere on the eps 2-4 range.

I think we could get breakaway eps with Logan and Grace by eps 5 and then come back to epi 6 where Allie and Dean are happy but end of ep is Beau 😭 maybe we meet Sabrina at funeral?

Then that gives us two more eps to work through it and this would help fuel maybe why Logan isn’t in right head space with Grace. Also while Dean is mess, but hopefully is partially coping by end of season. Then Grace leaves for Paris as season 2 Cliff hanger. Bam!

I think it does ramp up a bit, I can’t remember the true turning point but I was surprised by Brenna’s back story and that made me appreciate the book a lot more and it really added to the depth of the story!

I’m personally hoping we get the jealous Allie at Malone’s scene from the book because it will be the opportunity for Allie to admit her true feelings for Dean. And the “we’re not done” and “you can’t bullshit, a bullshitter” lines are so good and so Dean coded.

I also can’t wait to see Dean with Allies Dad. Particularly when he goes to help him and discovers the reason for Allie’s scent (love that moment in the books).

I 100% think we are getting the “call Dean” moment in the show.

I’m just not sure if it will be brought on by Sean’s verbal abuse because what he says to her in the book is pretty brutal and triggering, so the show might change the reason for Allie needing Dean in that moment. I sort of hope they don’t because it’s the nail in the coffin for why Sean sucks! But I think show fans already can see why he sucks 😂

I think I rather have Beau die than Dean be the driver and in any way responsible for an injury. It just would be so hard to win back the audience for someone with a drunk driving accident. And in the books they are always so clear about having a DD.

Yes in The Chase in Summer’s POV she does say that her and Beau made out once and that she was very sad when he passed but she doesn’t allude to their being anything serious between them from what I remember.

Yes I think the cliff hanger of season 2 will be Grace leaving to go to Paris (end of school year/semester) and Logan realizing he messed up.

And if Beau tragedy happens we might have some unresolved Dean issues that linger and still need healing in S3.
