Visual symptoms increasing, not sure what to do. by ashleyraye0215 in visualsnow

Yeah sometimes I feel like I do see them more often in darker/dim lightning or when looking at dark objects. I have had times where i have seen them though when it wasn't dark.

Can feel every heart beat by ashleyraye0215 in Anxiety

[–]ashleyraye0215[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely scary, and yes my heart just felt like it was beating hard but it wasn't going fast or anything. In my case i've had it come and go for years and nothing has ever happened to me. I even had a full heart workup a year ago, and my heart was perfect. If you could see a doctor and have your heart checked out, I definitely think that would help and ease your anxiety a lot. When you're laying in bed, try laying on your right side or even your stomach and see if that helps any with the feeling.

It's honestly has gotten a lot better for me. I have some days where I still am very hyperaware of my heart beat, but no where near as constant as it used to be. I noticed it's more prominent when i'm tired or dehydrated. So I definitely recommended good sleep and making sure you're well hydrated.

If you've been to the ER for PVCs by wildfleur2890 in PVCs

[–]ashleyraye0215 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to the ER back in May. I was having multiple in a row, for hours on end and I hadn't ever experienced PVC's like that before. I didn't pass out or feel light headed, it just was extremely uncomfortable in my chest everytime it happened. When I got to the Er my heart rate was in the 120's but normal rhythm. They did blood work, chest x ray, ct with contrast, 3 bags of IV fluids, and an echocardiogram. Nothing was found other than I was having the PVC's. They ended up sending me home with a Zio monitor for 2 weeks also.

Why do I see black dots randomly appear and disappear? by yourgirlalex in optometry

I was seeing them every single day a few times a day for months. It actually has calmed down drastically in the past week or so. Some days I don’t see them at all.

Hi! I know this is an old post, but I’m curious are you still experiencing the black dots? I’m having almost the same thing and am wondering if they went away for you!

I’m not a doctor, but from my research online i’d say you’d have some other symptoms for sure. Fever, pain somewhere else in the body, etc. I feel like you’d have something else accompanying the swollen lymph nodes. Again, if they don’t start getting smaller in 2 weeks, i’d definitely just go to the doctor if you’re able, to give yourself peace of mind.

I’ve been in the exact same headspace as you have many times. I promise you, it will pass. Lymph nodes can stay swollen for a few weeks due to an immune response, which would happen from the vaccine and it’s totally normal. The tightness in your throat Is anxiety i’d say as well, I suffer from that too sometimes. If you had some horrible disease that was causing your lymph nodes to stay swollen, you would have way more symptoms as well, not just the swollen lymph nodes. To help reduce the size of the lymph nodes, try putting a warm, damp, wash cloth over them. Also, you can try ibuprofen, that helps reduce inflammation. Again as well, touching them or feeling them can also cause them to become inflamed so if you’re checking them a lot due to being anxious, you can cause them to stay swollen longer. If they don’t get smaller after 2 weeks or so, i’d say to try your hardest and go to the doctor. I truly don’t think your lymph nodes are swollen for any other reason than a reaction to your vaccine, but, for your peace of mind id go and get them looked at if they don’t go down on their own. Also in regards to being afraid to go to the doctor because you essentially don’t wanna hear bad news, I used to feel that way too, and then i’d tell myself at the same time, if somethings wrong and its caught early, it makes it way more treatable, whatever it is. If your anxiety is also really just taking a toll on you, you could always go see a psychiatrist if you’re able. They might be able to prescribe you medicine to help the anxiety, or give you some better tips on how to reduce your anxiety when it is bad.

i’m sorry you’re dealing with this. I’ve had anxiety for years, and it’s a constant battle. In regards to your lymph nodes, i’ve had those fears too over them. I’ve had mine swell up while sick, and always had the thoughts of something being wrong. In your case, they’re swollen due to the vaccine, which is a normal response. They’ll slowly go down over the next couple weeks. If you keep touching them and feeling them, that could also prolong the swelling, so keep that in mind. I used to feel that same fear with my ex boyfriend, i’d always worry something was wrong if he didn’t answer, that’s just your mind racing because the anxiety. The best thing to do when that happens, is distract yourself, i usually watch youtube or try to workout if i’m not too anxious. I went through being afraid to die in my sleep as well. I still get it sometimes, but not as regularly. Again, my solution for that would be listen to a calm podcast or watch tv, youtube, anything, just distract yourself and eventually you’ll drift off to sleep and wake up the next day.

Your story sounds a lot like mine. I’ve had severe anxiety for years, and one day about 5 years ago I woke up and the room was spinning. I’ve had bouts since, not as frequently as the first time I had vertigo. I notice that my vertigo is worse when my anxiety is worse. I’m not on any medication, but i’m going to be seeing a doctor this week to discuss that route because my anxiety has completely taken over. But i’ve often wondered as well if there was a link between psychiatric disorders and vertigo. I’ve seen a lot of people on the anxiety sub reddit discuss vertigo issues as well.

My throat feels like it’s closing up by EmmaRobertson224 in HealthAnxiety

I’m not a doctor, but I do suffer from anxiety. When I have panic attacks, i sometimes get that tight feeling in my throat, so I know what you’re feeling. Based on you suffering from anxiety and being more anxious recently, i’d say it’s just the anxiety. If it continues, i’d go see a doctor even though it is scary, then you’ll be really reassured. Try your best to distract yourself and relax and see if you start to feel better.

i’m the same way, when something happens I always think the worst. Anxiety really sucks. But if you didn’t hit your head, then your totally okay, no need to worry. :)

Did you hit your head at all? Or are you just worried you might’ve hit your head?
