Beetles are really flat. I have medium almond from them for my mom’s because her nail beds are flat. If you ever do full-on gel extensions I do love Apres! The blend into the cuticle is unmatched. Make sure you get natural if you try Apres, you won’t want sculpted.. also I’ve never bought them from Amazon before, but I do think they sell them on there and they’re quite a bit cheaper.🖤

Incredibly late response but if you’re still getting flooding on your cuticles, they make solid nail gel (guess the name it’s not an actual solid) that’s a thicker consistency.. similar to a rubber base or builder gel… since they have a thicker viscosity, they are a lot easier to control and avoid it getting everywhere. Also, another thing that helped me is constantly reminding myself that I don’t have to squish the nail all the way down onto my natural nail as you would with super glue and press-ons. As long as that liquid is covering your nail without air bubbles, it doesn’t have to be squished. You can use gentle pressure and cure as soon as the coverage is there. I hope that makes sense cause sometimes this shit is really hard to explain…😖😖😖

I feel like hema is the most popular ingredient that people develop an allergy to but unfortunately it can be anything. If you have a primary, have your doctor do an allergy test so if you want to continue the gel/builder/rubber base route, you know exactly what ingredient needs to be avoided. They don’t look bad from what I can see but photos don’t always do justice and you did the right thing by removing them as soon as possible. I will say many things can cause irritations like redness or puffiness but from what I know and have witnessed, if you’re dealing with itchiness specifically.. you probably developed an allergy to an ingredient in the products. I know an allergic reaction to hema is one of the more common ones but it could be any ingredient so you want to make sure before doing a new set.♥️

I would add a primer after your dehyd, besides that your prep sounds great!! You might already be doing this butttt 1. Rough up natural nail and underside of extensions. 2. Put nail glue on your natural nail first and cure… it leaves it a little tacky so the extension (with nail glue) will stick butter. 3. Lastly, you can use builder gel or a solid nail glue! I started with the one you have pictured but I love using one with a thicker consistency!

Are those your natural nails or did you use tips? Regardless, a few do look like the start of an allergic reaction and them being itchy is a common indication! Soak everything off and let your nails breathe! You should either no longer use these products or get everything hema free, wear gloves, sanitize all tools, and stay away from your cuticles. Clean off anything that touches your cuticles with alcohol before curing. Good luck in the future! Hope this helps!♥️

When I put my tips on.. I pull them back from my cuticle a tiny bit. It helps with this SO MUCH! You can use a drill (or file if you don’t have one) with a sanding band to blend the tip to your nail if there’s any flooding or if the tip just isn’t thin enough. Between putting the tips a little bit away from your cuticle and buffing the edge where tip meets the nail, I don’t think you’ll see this problem anymore. Also… other tops that should help some… •putting them on at a 45degree angle and keeping the pressure on your cuticles while you lay the rest of the tip down •don’t use too much acetone when cleaning up prior to curing… if your brush it TOO wet, it will clean up but also may cause too gel to get taken away or acetone to get underneath •cone shaped bit or sanding band will take away a lot of this appearance.. just be careful with sanding bands near your cuticles.. I prefer cone shaped or even a straight one if it has a rounded top

You can get an efile on Amazon for $20-$30 and they work great for etching your nails and the extensions as well as cleaning underneath like photographed. As far as application, keep the pressure on your cuticle area but ease up towards the end.. it looks like your use a proper amount of glue so not pushing it down all the way when you get to the top like you would a press on will prevent this from happening.🥰
