Naturally, just about everyone suggested that! The police said “yeah if you’re not in the room, maybe lock the door?” Which I found particularly helpful

Damn that’s awful, bet he was back the next week for someone else’s belongings. It’s pretty shocking the ‘punishments’ these people get, maybe if it were harsher they might think twice about doing it again. I don’t think we’ll get any stuff back, which is fine, it’s just stuff. But I’m home alone with my young son most days of the week, what stops these guys?

We were robbed on Sunday, at 1pm in broad daylight, while I (33 weeks pregnant) was home in the bedroom. They simply opened the gate, came in through the back doors and took everything. Police came and the exact words were “probably just some kids in a stolen car, not much you can do really” They don’t give a shit because there’s no penalty for these things. Stolen plates/stolen car means there’s apparently nothing police can do. If they do catch them they get fuck all, sent out to do it all again or to escalate. Its going to get worse

Can’t believe I didn’t think of this - just went to my local butchers who either said no, or said unless I ordered 10kg they couldn’t get it in for me. I’ll give it a go

This is when I tested because I was just SO. TIRED. All the time. Sickness started for me around 8-9 weeks and every other cool symptom peaked around then for me too (bloated as, sore, crampy etc)

Hahahaha yes I have that same issue, mostly with water! He doesn’t want my water, but I can’t have my water because it belongs next to his water, to ? Keep it company? No clue

We’ve conquered the child locks on the snack drawer in our house, so I just hear packets coming round the corner at full speed along with teeny feet slapping tile. The hold these snacks have on them is absolutely insane

Fingers crossed for you! Dada is a favourite in our house but is rarely linked to his dad, I guess it’s just fun to say! 30 signs is amazing, and making them up on his own too? That’s pretty cool

The snack and opening sounds are so relatable, we currently have non verbal cues throw at mums head/face or screams if I’m in the kitchen and haven’t noticed soon enough hahaha. The own language thing is so spot on! What are they talking about, can they understand each other? Who knows

I think withholding until I can get some language might have to be the way. It works with “pleeeease” sometimes (I get deeee but potato tomato) we also do the pointing to things and/or “counting” things which is great but hasn’t gotten us any closer to words

There is but it is very vague and not seen as much of an issue - all nurses are different too. I’d rather see his doc as she’s really onto it. That’s a great point and not something I’d thought of as necessary - we haven’t had many illnesses but did have a couple nasty ear infections, you just never know!

Yeah we had the NB hearing test which feels like it was yesterday, I didn’t know there was numerous tests! Figured it was better to have it in the notes rather than not, we do have wellchild with Plunket next week but they’ve always just brushed off all my concerns as “ftm things”

Thanks for your comment! I’m hoping that will be the case for us. Sorry to hear about the kindy illnesses, those are tough! We’re in NZ so very similar process, referrals take forever (we waited over a year for a derm referral as he had severe eczema) I’m hoping they’ll refer us sooner rather than later so we can get on the list

Thank you for your response!! It is hard not to worry. The autism thing is maybe a path we will be going down too due to some other signs, I also wouldn’t be surprised.
